Ursula, I have not seen your Pot Red Heart 'Neptune' this year? I remember the snow in the background and sun shining on yours. It was brilliant! I have not been able to get one, any source you can think of?
Roberta, it hasn't pushed through the sheaths yet!
The only nursery that sells these is Silva Orchids in Neptune NJ, I would think. Surely you can persuade them to ship you a plant once the weather turns warmer. They had several pot sizes at their Nursery in January.
If they don't ship, I can get you one in the Spring.
My Stenosarcos Vanguard 'Fireball' is finally opening.
I brought it downstairs a couple of weeks ago, since I like the look of the plant itself as it grew some nice spikes.
One of my tiny Asctm/V. Mona Church plants is trying to put on a mini Show
And there is a spike on a noid Asctm/V.
This Dendrobium nugentii was blooming last year like crazy, then dropped a lot of the growths. It stabilized over the Summer and here are two spikes.

My Sarcochillus Fitzhart rebloomed for it's second season, but failed to survive it's repoting. I haven't tossed it yet, but I'm pretty sure it's dead.

My Sarcochillus Fitzhart rebloomed poorly for it's second season, but failed to survive it's repoting. I haven't tossed it yet, but I'm pretty sure it's dead.
Roberta, @Boojum, Kathy grows some Sarcochilus! She grows a bunch of nice Australian Orchids.
Elaine, thanks.
Trader Joe's has some nice Orchids every so often. Good purchase!
I have a couple of Orchids from the Japanese vendor Suwada, my favorite from this grower is my Lc Mini Purple 'Shibuya'. I know I have a Coelogyne from him too, have to look up the name.
I've been looking at the Japanese orchid shows, since the weather is so cold and I don't want to get out. The shows are giving me ideas on new genus to try. Just got off of Feb listing of Kathy's site, I encourage everyone to visit, wow!

I haven't looked at Kathy's sit yet , but here are two pic. of mine. When I bought it in april 2012 and the next blooms in April 2013. I won't show you what it looks like now!
So it can be potted, my source says >60% humidity and strong air movement to keep roots from rotting. They were all mounted. But daily watering, not going to fit in my conditions very well I'm thinking. Maybe a try if not to expensive.
Thx Carol
I have great luck with sarcos for a few years but then I lose them, too. Right now I have one called Sarco. Melody 'Southern' in bloom. http://www.crazyorchidlady.com...
I got it at Brennan's. I had a beautiful red that bloomed last year. The leaves have almost all come off but there are some new roots happily growing. I have had a great show on my Den. kingianums and crosses this year. Many I had never seen before!

I don't have the first clue what this is. Purchased yesterday at the Coquina Beach Market sale-- was just too cute to pass up. Guy said it was an Oncidium but I'm not sure about that. Any ideas? It smells divine in the morning! The flowers are tiny. Half an inch and there's a bunch of spikes.
