OK, so I have my perfect (I think) sand clay mixture, I have my perfect snowflake cutter, now I want to make sure that my sand snowflakes last a long time. But, I don't want to compromise the look and feel of the snowflake. I want to seal them so that humidity does not make them go mushy and I want to make sure they do not get brittle. I also want to preserve that sandy feel that the snowflakes have. I have tried grout sealer, but it seemed to make the clay "mushy" and I trashed a piece. I also tried Thompson Water Seal for all surfaces, but it really makes the snowflake stink....plus I have no idea yet what it does to the clay composition. I know I could use a good spray sealer, but that's going to take away the feel of the sand and leave it with a glossy feeling texture. Any thoughts?????
