My Charley is a "natural Balance kind of guy" he is a barefooter, no shoes on my big boy.....

Sorry I'm late to the party! Congratulations Chris!!!! I've never planted any shoes myself but Becky, your idea for the flip flops is getting my juices flowing. I've got a friend who has a birthday coming up and she LOVES flip flops and she has a fence where she could hang them! I'm wondering to keep the weight down if I could paint plastic pots instead? Plenty of Krylon Fusion kicking around here.

Also, I've got a few photos of planted shoes some friends made. I think I posted them on Lynn's Cubit last year and even though they're not mine maybe I could post them to give everyone ideas?

Debbie, for sure post them here! It's a perfect place for us to continue showing shoes.

And yes, plastic pots would be better. Mine that's on the wall is still holding it's own (yay!!!) but the pot is just small enough to tuck into the straps. I had lots of mini clay pots so that's why I used them. They could be wired on too I think.

Here you go....these gentlemen sell the most wonderful, creative hypertufa gardens in addition to their selection of Sempervivums, etc. Several years ago they even had a few pairs of planted shoes!
