Here's Iconic, another one I added this year.

I do have House A Fire too, but that's been posted.

Bonnie, I don't have Red At Last any more. It's one that I omitted, but passed on to others who will grow and love it. (you included)

A couple of years ago Blyth had a couple of nice new reds, but I don't see them in his catalog anymore. Wonder if they didn't pan out or what.

I forgot, I do have Sultan's Palace thanks to Greg. Since he isn't around to post it, I will post it for him:

It isn't quite red or quite a self, but it's as close as I can get.

Love seeing all of these beautiful reds. I planted about half a dozen of
reds, and hoping they all bloom!

Well, I am very grateful that you gave me a start of that little iris Tom. I hope it blooms this spring.

I planted Quapaw, a 1971 Butler iris, but cant find a photo to post. Perhaps Arlyn can help with that one too.

This is little MDB Dragon Flamedart

I consider it a red but since it has a white dart/stripe down the falls I do not know if it counts. I need a ruling Mary Ann.

It counts, Bonnie. That's about as red as they come. The white stripe is an embellishment -- not another color.

Oh -- and I LOVE that Iris!!! Got to get it!!! Green Grin!

Calif_Sue said:@Muddymitts, LOVE this new thread! If I may make a suggestion though, perhaps add the word RED in the title, that way it will be easy to find and add to for anyone new down the line, or if we want to late go back to it in the future. nodding

I bought this one last year from Napa Iris

Well, I can't add the word *red* to the name of the thread, because we won't be doing red every day. The color will change tomorrow, etc. -- and we want to maintain the thread for a week.

But I could substitute the word *Colors* for *Irises* -- that would guide someone looking for it at a later date? If you agree Sue -- go ahead and change the thread name to "Show us your colors" -- and hope that everyone pays attention to the color of the day. Howzzat?

Oh boy -- I'm loving all of these red Irises!! Who knew there were so many!!!

Yes Leslie -- I was saving Gerry Atwell for later........ Whistling

And I think Red Hawk was the one where I said there are conflicting descriptions on it?

Kent -- that's a pretty little Iris -- does it have a name?

Something else I was thinking about -- I think in the colors category we should allow duplicate postings. The same Iris will sometimes look completely different in different gardens. So if someone has a red that I have -- post your picture! You never know which picture will *flip the switch* for someone, and make it a got-to-have Iris for them! And isn't that what we're all about?????????? Whistling Big Grin

We grow Dragon Flamedart so again I will post a MTB seedling.
Thumb of 2015-02-07/irisarian/22a06b It was divided last summer so I hope it will bloom this summer. I also need a better focus. ☺

Does anyone have a photo of BB Cranapple. I recommend that one for color. I asked about color at the end of the alphabet threat not realizing one had been started.

Wow.. That thread took off!

I slept in.. actually stayed in bed and read.. I'm near the end of a book.. The part where all the loose threads start coming together... I wanted to finish, but figured 10 was late enough to linger...

So, in my lingering, my first two choices of Dynamite and Cherokee Blaze are taken.. That leaves me with 'Red Dirt Road', which I just got this past year.
