I sent off my first order of the year today. I plan to add FEWER and NEWER. My order went to Keith Keppel. His special is 3 intros for $125 so I ordered two specials.......1 each of Billowing Waves, Espionage, High Desert, Marrying Kind, Painted Shadows, and Shivaree. Brads pictures of Bubbling Waves, Espionage, and Painted Shadows won me over. Now I look forward to Ghio's catalog. What have you or are you going to get this year?

Ameraucana.... They're supposedly easier than Aracaunas (and bred from them, I think)... One is laying blue eggs, the other blue-green. The one in the picture went to a friend. She's really grown a glorious beard since this picture was taken. She reminds me of a pitcher the Giants had.

I would like Superstitions Velvet Valentine but if I stay committed to getting fewer I probably wouldn't order just the one so probably not.

This is the year that I am absolutely not ordering a single, solitary Iris -- so my order list is only 27!!! So far, I have 8 on my list for Superstition, and 9 on my list for MidAmerica. Haven't found a source for the other 10 yet. And, of course, this does not include pre-arranged trades.

So far -- my not-ordering-a-single-solitary-Iris-plan isn't going so well........................ Whistling

Mary Ann your plan is working, You're not ordering ONE, you're ordering a whole bunch! Hilarious! Who in their right mind would only order one! Rolling on the floor laughing You have to order more to make it worth the postage.

Paul good choices!

I'm waiting for Mid-America's catalog...
I've got a decent order in with Superstition, a "reasonable" order with Napa, and some historics I couldn't live without from Bluebird.. and a 150 I still need to plant from last year Sticking tongue out

I don't order until I can see all of the new intro's from every one, then I can pic and choose among them.

I have orders in with four vendors. I am trying to choose ones that keep appearing on my wish lists. Having these wish lists and not ordering from them was getting stupid so I thought, no new intros, just the ones that have been sticking around on my lists. That being said, when I go on a site to order three or four from them I wind up ordering six or seven...... or a few more. So I have already gone over my set limit and two of my selected vendors are not open for business yet so I think I may add about a dozen more..... all little guys. I did select a new intro as a bonus and a TB at that - Red Velvet Cake. But I had to have it....... and since it was a bonus I did not actually buy it, right.... smiles

I plan on getting a FEW from Ghio. The Utah Iris Society will order some intros from Mid-America for our auction and I may bid on some of those. That will be it this year. That will be all that I have room for and energy to handle......
