I don't know how much "fun" there will be. I just have to get in my hours, so this is a way to gain a few. I am sure there will be people I have spoken to/sold to at previous Expo's that will drop by and tell me how their tropical plants are doing. I am thinking about taking one of my Sarcoglottis sceptrodes that is blooming, just to show an oddity orchid. It might give people a reason to stop by the Extension Service booth.

That's a great idea, Ken. They're such cute little flowers. Mine has died, I think.

I'm off to Tropiflora's Spring Festival with a friend this morning. Should have some fun pictures to post later . . Big Grin Orchid vendors will be there, but the bromeliads are the stars of the show.

Ursula, it is snowing here!!!! I think old man winter wanted one last laugh.

I'm off to the store to pick up some more supplies then back to re-potting. Love having the RMH roaring while I am working. I feel the dollars that I am saving!!

Well, I am back from my Extension Service chores and I did take that one Sarcoglottis orchid to put on the table, simply to draw interest to the booth. I sold my orchid! I didn't take it to sell, but the lady said she just had to have it. Oh well, my wife is now mad at me for selling it so cheaply ($8.00) and the fact that she considered it "her" orchid. I had it in the kitchen and any plant that goes there becomes her plant...... Sticking tongue out I told her I had several more in bloom in the greenhouse so she has forgiven me. Whistling

Oh, Bert, you women always band together! Whistling I have already said my wife thinks I'm a terrible businessman. I guess this confirms it, huh? Sighing! I look at it as making someone happy and perhaps, just perhaps, she'll go to my website and find something else she likes/wants. But if I never hear from her again, that's OK too. This is sort of like "Paying it forward". Thumbs up

Nice one, Ken. I'm sure you made the lady so happy with her treasure.

Got a couple of nice shots of flowers at Tropiflora this morning, but the crowd in the orchid tent was just too much for me. I mostly spent money on some stunning bromeliads. Nice big flower on Psychopsis mariposa and I thought I had a photo of the tag on the second one, an Lc of some sort that smelled like peaches, I swear!

Looks a lot like Iwanagaara Apple Blossom, and it would be the right time for it.

Hm, might have been a bit more yellow and larger flowers than Apple Blossom, but you're right, very similar. This was a big plant with a big price tag, or it surely would have followed me home! Angel

This is an old image of Cattleya nobilior, I bought 14 plants from a Taiwanese vendor during visit to Tamiami Orchid show, these plants give as much as four spikes'
each spike with between 2 to 5 blooms and not all canes do not appear similar C. nobiliors
I would post image of entire plant.

My amabile hasn't done anything yet. I'm hoping it is done sulking from the re-pot 2 years ago.

This is Brassocattleya Richard's Bonanza. Another awesome Richard Mueller cross. (Bc Richard Mueller x C. Bonanza Queen). This has not been photoshopped in any way. These are the true colors. I don't usually buy pink, but I like Richard Mueller crosses and the last one I had died. I love this replacement. Lovey dubby

iPhone battery died before I could get more photos, but Den jenkinsii started blooming! I didn't even know it had buds. It is in the upper part of the GH so not easy to see. I'll pull it down tomorrow for a photo.

Also Den aphyllum started to open along with Eny Golden Sunburst.
