Your welcome! I started doing it because I was making posts on my iPad. I can't scroll in the iPad very well to make edits. So, I would make the post, go back and read it, and find some terrible typo. So, I would go to my regular Mac to make the type correction, then think "hey, a smilie would work great here" but they were not available when editing.

W might be able to add more, but we'd need to get rid of some in order to do that.

On my FF screen, it's one row plus two.

On my IE screen it's one row filled all the way across. No leftovers.

I would hate to lose any of them.

We could lose the angry and the grumbling ones. Would could keep the glare one, in case someone needs to show displeasure.
But everyone on ATP is happy and encouraging, we need some more to represent those.
And I agree on losing the big ear one. I don't think I've ever seen it used. (I also don' t know what it means)

Sorry, Lee Anne...I hate to use the "because I said so", but there is almost (if not every single time) an actual reason when I say there is. Sometimes it isn't evident, or obvious. Often I/we dont take the time to explain or type out the technical or logistical reasons for every decision, but they are there, none the less.

So.. "because I said so"
