Thanks, Deb ! That sounds great !! I've been trying to "stay on top" of this by ordering replacements , but, I've reached the point where the ones I need only are available , in 'ones, or twos' from different vendors......and most places have a minimum order, so getting the 'one' iris I need isn't possible without ordering several that I DON'T need....that has never been a BIG problem for me ,in the past....I could always find something else on their lists I wanted Sticking tongue out .....but now I'm approaching the 'Limit' of what I can realistically care for(on a "normal" year !....THIS year I DEFINATELY have too many to deal with Grumbling ), and would like to be more 'selective' in my ordering ! Thanks again for the offer ! I suppose I will post on the 'goners" thread, a list of anything 'lost", and not already ordered, or promised, after bloom is done, and hope someone will be able to 'steer' me to some of the 'odd balls ' ! In seasons past, my walkabout was always punctuated by 'look what opened up today !", and now it's "I wonder what died last night :grumbling! "I know that several others have been through this (Brad, Carlos, and Tom, to name just three), and it's just "My Turn in the Barrel", but, let me tell you, it's a real bummer !

My little guys are finished blooming. They really put on a wonderful performance that took me outdoors at first light and kept me out for most of the day. I had some old friends tour the garden, some people just stopped to see the blooms and I met new people and even a photographer spent two and a half hours photographing the blooms..... and collecting mosquito bites.

I have MTB's blooming but now it is BB's and TB's. The end of bloom season is approaching for 2015. There is still work to be done and I will have some new ones coming to stay. The fun will be in trading a few, dividing and offering a few for postage and getting my orders in from vendors. This season started early and is finishing early. It did not disappoint me. Even the NoID's bloomed in all colors and forms. I hope this year continues to be a good one for irises. It seems that conditions that suit them suit me also. Now back outside to watch the sun set through Thundermaker and light up the rims of the standards and falls..... and to plan where to put in a new iris bed. smiles

Hard to believe your nearing the end of bloom season Bonnie, It's quickly approaching here, at least near the house I have lots of bloom stems coming on the TB's. The outer beds aren't showing anything yet. We had some rain, about 1/4 inch here today, and of course the bloom stem and one of the increases fell off of Celebretory! Grumbling Crying But I've just decided that I'm not goint to expect the new ones planted last year to bloom. If some do, great, if not maybe next year.

I was sent Coal Seams as a bonus in 2013. Last spring its leaves 'fountained over' instead of standing upright. I took it up from the bed and put it in a pot. It seemed to thrive and this year it has five bloom stalks. I think it is my darkest iris.

MTB Bangles. I love the MTB's. The thin stalks rise above the foliage and the blooms look like they are floating above the irises. If several are planted together it looks from a distance like butterflies.

I have found Coal Seams to be an excellent grower. The first year it gave me tons of blooms and it has several stalks again this year. I love it's dark color (not as dark as say, Midnight Oil, but a very very dark purple in the sun).

Bangles is really cute. I so agree with you about them. I just love mine.

No, but I love it. I have Frosted Velvet and Bumblebee Deelite. I have ordered Redrock Princess again since I lost it to rot last summer.

Bonnie, I agree about MTBs, they're among the most graceful to my eye and remind me of the historics that spawned my love of irises.
