Your Birthday Girl is fabulous! I have tried to buy it twice from C & T but they are always out of stock. It is on my list of must haves.
I did plant Drama Queen last fall and can't wait to see it bloom. So far no buds but one can hope. Your photo is lovely.

Thank you Jane. She is beautiful. I have been told that pink irises do not perform well in this region but so far my pink ones have never failed to bloom.

Bonnie - do they say that because they think pinks won't stand up to the heat and humidity? If you want to see an iris wilt here in the heat it is usually the deep purple/black ones!

They are surprised it bloomed for me. These folks are iris lovers and some don't even try to grow pink iris. In August my rebloomers cook in one day, regardless of color,unless they are in a pot and can be moved to a shady area.

About five years ago I purchased a little BB named Brown Lasso. It did not bloom and finally just dwindled and dried up. I have had it on my list to buy but it has always gotten pushed down further on that list. This year my plan was to purchase the ones that had been on my wish list the longest so this is one that I have ordered. And blooming today in a pot of IB Calling Card is......

Arlyn, I plan to go to the Dallas rhizome sale whenever it is--August or first part of September, I think. If that is not too late for you to plant, I will send you the link when it is published. If anything for which you need replacement is being offered, make me a list and I will try to get them for you. Since sister liked the sale we went to last week, I have expectations of persuading her to take me to the next one.
