I was walking the fenceline bed yesterday, doing some additional clean-up -- and I spotted buds!!! Three bloom stalks up on three Pippi Longstockings! And I think I have a thickened leaf on Little Sighs where a bloom might be forthcoming. Green Grin!

These are my first ever little guys -- I'm so excited. I am going to try to take some pictures today. Just what y'all want to see, right? -- buds started on mini-Irises! Whistling

Ah -- but I'll document the process!! Green Grin!

I never thought I would have buds this early! I looked today and have them on Wish Upon a Star, Arctic Fancy, Cat's Eye and an old iris germanica! My husband calls them pregnancies! I am so excited! Nothing yet on Ocean Pearl which is usually one of my earliest. I have a median purple which I think is Susa which has lots of buds coming on.
