I agree with Melanie Hetty, I will not be able to control myself, not on orchids.

Oh, I would probably come home with a little of a lot... Rolling on the floor laughing Hoya's, a aroid or 2 or 3 of some variety, Orchids....some oddity that can't be found easily. That's one show where there is so much variety with many vendors from everywhere.

I had my heart set on a particular Hoya but they had sold out of that one.

Elaine good to know about the Alaskan Fertilizer, I have not opened it yet but I certainly don't want racoons visiting my garden and we do have a family of raccoons here. Maybe I'll just return it to Lowes unopened.

Here are my garden blooms:

Pink Hibiscus, I planted 4 twig cuttings given to me by my neighbor, now they are bigger than my neighbor's well trimmed tree Hibiscus, the blooms are pretty

I finally have a plumeria blooming, Penang Peach, not very peachy yet but it puts on more pink as the blooms age. I'm always a little disappointed in the scent, very faint almond-y is all I get. Can't wait for my new Celadine to bloom, as it is the standard plumeria for great scent!

Got a Black Swallowtail to pose for me this morning, bless him. Cell phone pic, but he seemed to not mind as I moved closer and closer.

Lovely daylily Siloam Double Classic has been putting out flowers for a month now, and does not seem about to stop. Two new scapes coming along! No rust evident either.

Just got lucky, Melanie. Those sunflower plants are right outside my window beside my desk here. I looked out and there he was. I hurried out as quietly as I could but he still took off when I first approached. But then he came back and settled again, and I literally got the cell phone within a foot of him.

Hey, anybody know if I can pinch those silly sunflowers to make them branch? They were supposed to top out at just over 4ft. and they're approaching 6ft now. Some of them have a single bud on top so I suppose I'll wait until the first flowers open, choose the ones I like best and get rid of the rest. They're just way too big for the spot I planted them.

Gigi, I love that pretty pink hibiscus and oh my your Lovey dubby Plumeria's have me drooling.

Elaine, Gorgeous Siloam Double Classic Daylily and what a nice shot of that pretty Swallowtail! I have a couple of DL's whose labels have gone missing that have scapes/buds starting and I think one of them is Siloam Double Classic that I purchased on clearance for $2.22 at Wal-Mart last year. I'm looking forward to those pretty blooms again!

Currently in bloom in my yard ....

Daylily 'Fire Coral' ................................. Rain Lilies (Zephyranthes) are sporadic but I found one bloom today

Lovelies, Lin and I forgot to say how wonderful your plummies are, Gigi.

On the sunflowers, I've grown so-called 'decorative' types that have smaller flowers and do branch. That's what I thought these were, but no! They are growing like the huge edible seed producing types.

As soon as heads form on my sunflowers, the squirrels eat them off. I have a Bush Sunflower that had blooms everywhere. Smaller then reg sunflowers but lors of bright yellow flowers. It is a CA native but seems to love FL also.

The people behind me built a coop this spring, I love to hear their cluck clucks now and then. What I dont like, is the crows sit out there constantly and caw at the coop///the hawks circle it doing that screaming stuff which they do when they find food. That part I dont like Blinking

Its so darn hot, its all I can do to water my daylilies.

I love sunflower including the edible ones Lovey dubby

Pam those Daylilies are gorgeous! I bought a couple bags of bulbs before but they didn't sprout and they were not cheap. Next time HD or Lowes out these lovelies, I will buy the "real plants".

Here's are the pictures I took this am.

Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Lovey dubby Such pretties!!

Pam, your Daylilies are absolutely gorgeous, I especially like the first one and although I'm usually more attracted to the deeper colors I love Hearts of Dixie!!

Gigi, You have so many beautiful Plumies! Love the Adeniums too and what a nice Oncidium! I bought a small Adenium from either Wal-Mart or HD awhile back and then when we bought our retirement home in Sebastian a couple of months ago my sister noticed a potted leafless Adenium dumped beside the house. I brought it home and I'm trying to revive it. I lopped off some soft stems and re-potted it into a well draining soil and moved it into the screened porch for the time being. I hope it survives.

Beautiful blooms all around. One of these days I'll post some of mine.
Next on today's agenda, installing drip irrigation. I had to put the coils of piping out in the sun to uncurl. Now to get it all hooked up.
