I have heard of Costa Rica Blue. It looks very similar to the Margie Griffith I have. Intense blue blooms, too! I am such a fan of salvia!

Very nice "Planet Max",..apart from the colors it has lovely star like petals,..oh i wonder is your lost tagged Lily ,..Asiatic Lily,'Foxtrot'.

Great to see how those chicks have grown,..the markings are more pronounced now,..cute!!

I worked the last few days so starting tomorrow I am home until next week and will get some more shots. After we pick up two more chicks in the morning.

Two newest additions, the one on the left is a Speckled Sussex and the light one is a Blue Orpington. They are so sleepy from the trip home.


A cabinet has been added to the back of the coop, it houses an automatic waterer, complete with a filter and an automatic feeder is being completed to be added next. We'll store all food and supplies in here.


My white abutilon is attractive to the local hummers.


The shed's window box is filling in.


The cilantro (my husband's, I can't stand the smell or taste!) is so tall it's hanging over the raised beds, nice blooms but I'm not getting any closer for pictures!

I took a quick shot of the Brookside geranium and caught the bee mid flight.

Sue - Adorable chicks. I love how you are designing their coop! Brilliant idea to add a storage cabinet to the rear of the chicken house.

Interesting about the Cilantro. I love the stuff--put it in soups, salads, on sandwiches...what do you think of the ground Coriander seeds?

Hmmm, not sure if I have ever tasted or used coriander, will have to check my spices.

To me, ground Coriander tastes nothing like the fresh herb. It is lemony and I use it in sweets: shortbread, sugar cookies, and cake. Ooooh, I think I need to try making pound cake with Coriander.

Wonder if like/dislike of foods such as mushrooms and olives would be because of the same thing?

3 weeks old, lots of pretty feathers coming in and look at those big feet!



Doggie TV remains popular (enlarge to see doggie #2) We have the new ones separated for just a few days with the window between the boxes, just to get them settled in a bit, then we'll open it up so they can all intermingle.
