At 8:00 AM it was 22F with a brisk north wind. I would imagine the wind-chill is at least 15F and perhaps even colder. I have on two sweat shirts, (light) insulated long johns, blue jeans, and fur-lined moccasins. I also put on a heavy, insulated jacket just to put the garbage out and pick up the papers, a trip outside that probably takes 90 sec. My old body just can't take the cold anymore. Crying

James, I sure hope you won't be getting this cold in Corpus.

No, not this time. Hopefully never Crossing Fingers! . That would definitely be breaking some records. The Sun is finally out and we're up to 42F with a windchill above 32F. For the first first time since the front blew in.

We never got out of the 30's and the wind-chill never out of the 20's. It was sunny here too, just doggone cold.

It got up to 47 briefly here, but the wind kept it feeling cold. The water troughs froze overnight and still have ice floating on them.

We were at 31 for several hours, but the plants seem ok. Low is only supposed to be 32 tonight and then we'll be much higher the rest of the week. I did cover my patio plants last night and just covered them again for tonight.

We're down to 32 with a 'Real Feel' of 37 and it's cloudy.

We're at 48 currently. Real feel of 43. Humidity is low at 57%. Makes my skin dry and itchy. The air from the central heat doesn't help. Thumbs down

Supposed to be a high of 55 tomorrow! We're slowly getting there! Thumbs up

I was just looking at the extended forecast for Christmas Day and it's supposed to be 78.

So happy the freezes are over here...for this week, anyway!

LOL! Around here they have to grow their own. Hopefully, there won't be any newbies until the worst of the really cold temps are history. But this is Texas, so you can never tell. The cattle set their own agendas sometimes.

That's true about the weather! I'm leaving the side of my hoophouse open this afternoon while I'm in and out. I hope I don't find it in the neighbors' backyard later today, if the wind picks up.

We have the AC on. Had family over to open presents. First time I can remember we didn't have the fireplace going at Christmas. The wind has really picked up, though. Maybe it's going to cool off overnight. Haven't seen the weather. Too busy cleaning up.

We have the AC on too! It's already 74 and supposed to get to 77. I'll have the oven on for a good while, so it will really heat up in here. AND Merry Christmas Y'all!

Happy holidays! Have my windows and doors open down here. It's 72F and is supposed to stay that way all day.

Feels good here also! So nice! When I was in S.A. yesterday picking up some groceries, I couldn't help but think it'll be great for anyone visiting here from the north for the holidays!

Agreed! I'm not a northerner or a tourist, and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Completely clear, blue skies, sunshine, cool breeze. With the Sun it feels about 76 out. Couldn't ask for a better island Christmas. 🎄☉🌊

Don't know about in Corpus but the wind here is blowing a solid 21 or so mph. I was out filling some gallon jugs with RO water and had to hold my foot against the empty ones as they kept blowing away. The temps are nice though, it's 72 outside.
