Most everything was washed out by the rain yesterday, and temps in the 40s this morning meant things were slow to open. But...it also means they look great late in the day when I get home from work!

I'm not much on patterned daylilies, but Quiet Riot is an eye catcher. Nice one......Maryl

What a lineup of wonderful flowers, Betty. If I could pick just one, it would be Cosmic Blast, but they are all beauties!

I'm seeing lots of spidery/UF types that I like on this thread: Nyiragongo, Dan Bachman, and Carnival in Oz.

Many of the patterned daylilies have me drooling: Get Jiggy, Quiet Riot, Cosmic Blast, and Four Eyes.

Betja - Midnight Castle looks like a glorious purple. I got a single fan this spring and it is scaping now. Hope mine has blooms as pretty as yours!

It's been raining here for two days, and even though I have about 10 daylilies open this morning, most were beaten up by the downpours. Two of my new reds really withstood the showers.

Wow! I never imagined those patterns and shapes were possible. I have to go back and drool so more, but wanted to say I love 'Carnival In Mexico' and especially because I now know what the E in FFOE stands for!

Debra, I received my MIDNIGHT CASTLE last year as a gift from Floyd Cove, and if you check it in our database you can see how it looked for me last year. When it started blooming this spring I couldn't believe the difference -- absolutely magnificent, and almost black with that white trim. I couldn't be more pleased!

Boy I really love those reds!!! Drooling

Had fun getting caught up on this thread today. Think daylily season is almost here is zone 5. Seeing lots of new scapes. Good thing because iris are winding down. The bright yellow in the middle of this photo is middendorffii. It has been blooming for weeks. Not fancy but it adds a glow to the garden.

I am about the world's worst at photo IDing plants but to me it certainly looks like it. If the size of the bloom and the scape height are close and being that clump was previously tagged Sabine Bauer I would tag it.
