Seems interesting, but pricey. Thinking Some folks say they didn't get as many mushrooms as the picture shows so it was costly for the yield.

I'd do it for fun but not for a cost effective way to get mushrooms.
Plant it and they will come.

@gardenglassgems No, these Jacob beans (hyacinth beans) are strictly for show, tho when I grew them in the 70's they didn't bloom nor set beans til Oct, I do know they are used for forage and my sisters cows loved them to the ground, chuckl. My cat is upset at me again, it seems I am supposed to make the rain stop for him. Another list of chores to finish tomorro, and a visit to the chiro, reset my ribs poking me in the back, chuckl.
So many roads to take, choices to make, and laughs to share!

I mixed the stuff in the ring garden the best I could not too long ago. DH was going to help me, but sometimes I get antsy and feel like I have to do something outside. nodding I have to water the edge the bed in a couple spots because I need to get the edging holders into the ground and it already hardened. Blinking But, the dirt is spread out best I could and ready to be mulched.

I will need to fill in some spots between the grass and the edging with some soil that I scooped out because I managed to widen some parts unevenly. It seems like the two pieces of edging that I have are overlapping so the bed must be a wee bit smaller than it was. Thinking It is still plenty big. Next time I go out I will measure it from one end to the other. I think it is maybe ten feet wide?

Hamwild, was it you who dig out old Liriope recently? I worked on some today. Gawdawful! If I have the chance next time, I will soak it before and swing a pick to get under it!
Plant it and they will come.

So far today too busy with errands to work outside (DH's therapy day). I hope to go out here in a half hour and see what I can get done. Overcast and a bit chilly due to the wind.

I think I will try to get some Hyacinth Bean and Canna Lily seeds ready for germination. There are several others that I would like to try to grow. They are my own old collected seeds. Well, Maybe....Maybe not. Confused

For me, today was about what I didn't do, vs. what I did. I didn't have to worry about thirsty yard plants or water anything in the ground today. It finally rained, after almost 3 weeks. Got to take some pics instead.

Oh man! This is a critical time. I've spent more time with my hose than my family the past few weeks!

and we've been getting rain and more rain, when what I could really use is some dry weather! Rolling my eyes.

I've never experienced this. I have cauliflower and brussels sprouts and radishes growing in the garden as we speak.

Should I be concerned?

Those are all quite hardy, but I would definitely cover them just to be on the safe side. And I would use something to support the covering above the plants, so it isn't touching them.

I finally got outside this afternoon around 4. I spent close to 3 hours weeding around plants in several raised beds. Other raised beds I pulled weeds to get the beds ready for this years vegetables. I still have several left to clean up. I got sprinkled on but kept working.

Rain over night and most of the day tomorrow. Here are some pictures I took when I was taking a break in my She He Shed.
