As long as we don't freeze on Halloween like we have been known to do, she can bloom right outside. Or yes, she will go into the GH. Hurray! Hurray!

Perhaps Mark can replace her one day, Hetty.

Oh no! What happened to your mother tree Beach Blush Hetty? Hope you got some cuttings on the side. This is one of the reason I always have back up cuttings on all my plummerias. I almost lost my very first one..the Trimark but it bounced back.

Ok my Yugumbah Spirit plumeria finally bloomed, it smells really good! I had high hopes that the color of this one will be something similar to its Momma because it had black stem, red leaves but it turned out creamcolored-yellow 😀

Not too disappointed though because of the fragrance, I'm thinking of calling this Azucena (after a special lady i know) because of its fragrance and color and I don't have this kind of color before .😘 Also, this looks like a compact, only 20 inches tall 2-tip and the contrast of its bloom against the reddish leaves is quite appealing to me.

In contrast here is my Singapore White, still giving me 1 bloom at a time...gives me high hopes that the seedpod would stay, this fragrance is still superior.

Thumb of 2015-09-07/GigiPlumeria/5884d4

...and my Starwhite, too much rain is preventing this from making a bouquet. This is fragrant, lemony/citrusy but Yugumbah seedling's bloom is more fragrant.

Another Yugumbah Spirit seedling inflo, this is 3 feet tall.

Thumb of 2015-09-07/GigiPlumeria/e33fab

I also noticed a 4th seedling with inflo...but I lost the tag. So a mystery seedling to me.

Thank You! Kadie, growing plumeria from seeds is like a box of chocolate, you will never know what you are gonna get (Forest Gump)??

Okay...not going to try growing from seed then. DH son in the Army is transferring to Hawaii next month, then will have a wedding ceremony in December. We are planning to go, so while there I will select cuttings to take home with me.

In the meantime, viewing the Plumeria forums and learning the names of those most desirables will guide in my selections. nodding

Yes, if you want to be sure what you are getting, actual cuttings are best.

I love all plumeria blooms though, they are showy and fragrant and most are reliable bloomer. They wow you when they are in bloom and I could smell them all day long... Lovey dubby Lovey dubby

The Beach Blush plumeria was found growing in a hedge along the beach (hence its name). The company that owned the property did some drastic landscape remodeling and the tree went. I have a smallish tree at my house and I am happy to know several cuttings found their way around the country.

An update on my seedlings; my long awaited Stardust seedling (from the famous hybridizer Kukiat Tanteeratarm). This was germinated 2-2013 first bloom 2nd week of September 2015! It knocked my socks off!!!! It is gorgeous, and smells good, 3 inches bloom and less than 2 feet tall single-tip seedling. I repotted it to a bigger pot today.

My Maui's Beauty seedling is now adding more buds and it is now curling backwards, slightly similar to the parent.

Thank You! Ken and Hetty, I have 3 more stardust seedlings but no inflo yet.

Now, I don't have to worry much about getting named varieties if I can get quality blooms on my own seedlings. Watching the 5 tropical aurora seedlings but looks like no inflo yet.
