The Celadine has two lateral veins along the outer edges of the leaf. Take a look at these photos taken in sunlight. I think the pattern is easier to see on mature leaves and with bright light.

Thanks @Ken. Is it the yellow-looking edge? I don't think mine is a Celadine. What do you think?

No, not the edge. Come inside that yellow edge and you will notice a distinct, though not strong lateral vein, running parallel to the edge. Come just a bit further towards the center of the leaf and you'll see an even more distinct, much stronger lateral vein. The veins run parallel with each other and are connected by perpendicular veins.

My eyes are not good enough to tell. Perhaps there is a more mature/larger leaf that you can see the edge veins better.

The arrows show those lateral veins. Celadine has two of them and I have never seen two on any other plumeria. That's not to say they don't exist in other varieties. I just haven't seen two parallel veins other than on the leaves of the Celadine. Perhaps @dutchlady1 will know if other varieties have the double veining.

You would think if a Celadine gets crosspolinated by another, it's seedlings might have this leaf characteristics.

Thank you so much for the arrows, Ken. I kind of knew where you were pointing to but the graphics helped.

If I am correct, and @dutchlady1 can confirm this, you have the Celadine, Mark. I can clearly see those two lateral, parallel veins. The Celadine is a historical plumeria, as is the Scott Pratt, two of the three I brought back home from Maui, 25 years ago. I love plants that have a story to tell. Thumbs up

Your flowers don't look just right though. Here is a picture taken last year of some of mine and also a picture of a "typical" flower and a variation. You can call the variation Celadine var. Drdawg. Whistling This variation is almost entirely yellow and is twice the size of all my other Celadine flowers.

I agree Mark, you have Celadine. The flower can vary a bit depending on location; what remains the same is the incomparable fragrance. Once you've smelled it, you're transported instantly back to the islands!

Yes, I have a Celadine also, thanks to Ken's i.d. several months ago. Thank You! Ken. I still have not had the heart to get cuttings from her. Sad

Just an individual preference, KD. I have to cut all my plumeria and have taken 100's of cuttings by now. If I did not cut them, they would all soon be too large to bring inside during the fall. I can't leave mine out.

OK back to my 24+ year old NOID white. Is it a celedine? This leaves look like all others. I see a wavy lateral line. Is that it? I seriously think all mine have this wavy line.

You have a greenhouse? She'll make it, these should open in a month Cheryl Hurray!

My 2nd "seedling" inflo bloomed but false alarm, I thought I lost the tag but it was one of my earlier this year Trimark *Blush*

Well I have 3 more seedlings with inflo, 2 Yugumbeh Spirit and 1 Stardust seedlings but most are light colors. I will take any blooms frommy own seedlings of course. Thumbs up
