I know it kills me too. But the alternative is that you might lose the cutting altogether. If it's been 4 months. I would give it maybe another couple of weeks...

Ughhh! That would suck having to cut the inflo and wait another year to bloom....but I will listen to Hetty, better than the alternative. Good thing is, next year, you might have more than 2 inflo if you have a healthy plant.

What does the term "burned on me" mean? I am not the sharpest tack........ Sighing!

Ha!! Well, last year I was so ready to see it bloom that I stuck it in the front of my house on a wooden balcony...and well the wood got extremely hot one afternoon that it burnt the tips it had already and stoped its growth for that season so here we are next year with some growth and it's in my back yard again!! Lol

Got it. Thanks. I thought you had a house fire or something. BTW, did you know it takes 500F to actually burn a plumeria? Just another piece of useless trivia. Whistling

I uploaded this in the database

My very first seedlings from my very own Dwarf Pink Singapore. The Dwarf Pink Singapore was grown in pots next to Divine and Star White plumerias so I'm curious if there is even a remote chance of crosspolination. If not. I will just be glad if these will grow as dwarf plumerias too.

Germination rate is very poor or maybe the quality of viable seeds, not really sure. Hetty was kind enough to give me a heads up to plant the seeds right away, which I did. So I consider myself lucky to have at least 3 germinate.

I have never had a dwarf/compact variety but now I wonder if this is going to be one. These two plants were cuttings that I got last October and they are rooted. The leaves are really small compared to similarly aged rooted cuttings adjacent to these two plants. These two (possibly dwarf/compact) plants tend to be way more branched with small stems, when compared to every other variety that I have.

For those of you experienced in growing dwarf and compact plumeria (I don't really even know what the difference in these terms are Sighing! ), are these two plants exhibiting signs that they are indeed a small growing variety? Right now they are just Mendy's # 9 plants. Perhaps they'll flower, but no inflorescence showing yet.

It is really hard to tell until they start blooming. Per my experience the dwarf and compact varieties will bloom on shorter branches. Yours are branching out really good so that's one good sign.

I sure hope it will come even closer to these blooms Ken. Almost 3 years of waiting for it to bloom, better be worth it.

Maybe it will come around, I looked at my Giant Aussie Orange this morning and bud sure looks darker now.

Hmmm this was mislabeled. I bought this at Lowe's as JJ's mini-white (I love white so I wanted 2). It didn't bloom last year so this spring I took a cutting and instead of leaves I got an inflo and sure wants to bloom.
Definitely not mini-white because my mini white is still blooming now....doesn't look like Thumbelina either..

We had thunder, lightning, hail and heavy rains late afternoon today. Some of my plumeria in pots went tumbling down....but...

My Giant Aussie Orange bloomed...I apologize for the blurry photo I'll take a better photo tomorrow. This bloom is HUGE and not even fully open yet...well worth the wait! Hurray! Hurray!
