If you look up Iowa Regional Lily Society they have a wonderful picture library of lilies. I have been able to identify several of mine from this site.

I know how you feel, Claudia. Even if we had a plant for years, every new season we await them anxiously to bloom and rejoy in Nature's wonders again and again. And then a hungry critter comes and takes it all away!

I have the same problem with rabbits and mice. This year they have been more agressive tan ever. Would you believe they even climb to my terrace to eat plants? Last week they destroyed my recently emerged Tropaeolums (T. tricolor, T. brachyceras, T. azureum and some spontaneously hybridized ones). I do not expect them to regrow, at least not for this season (they bloom in Winter down here). On some of my pots they even dug out the tubers and ate them Sighing!

I have put up some extra tomato cages in the bed. Hopefully that will block her access. I am hoping that will be enough to discourage her and she will move on. Checked my plant map and it was not Shocking but Flashpoint that she cleaned all the buds off..... she came back & got the one she left. Now I just have to hope she won't come up on the porch to eat from that side!

Pretty pink Ashton. It reminds me of 'Cote d' Azur' which always shows up more two toned in my database photo than it really is.

This is little Majestic Joy. Very short this first year in the garden.

This one is a mystery for now. Looks like I planted at least 3 of them last fall, but sure can't remember a name. Any ideas? May have come from mainiac?

Wonderful Jmorth and Joe!

Ursula, I buy lily bulbs from many places. Faraway Flowers on Facebook, Bleeks here on all things plants, K Valley Lily Ranch, B$D lilies, the LIly Nook and any others. A number are ones I've traded for over the years.

Joe those martagons are lovely. I was fortunate enough to visit a fellows garden in northern Minnesota who grew these wonderful lilies. That was really something to see.

That's a killer! Hurray!

I have a pink I bought for a client at least ten years ago that has bloomed profusely and I too have forgotten the name. I have not witnessed it this year but it should be in full bloom. I'll try to catch a comparison picture.

I do write everything down but notes and sticky pads get lost in the piles. I'm lucky to be able to know the plants in mine and mom's yards.
