I have two historic yellows that I like, one is a NOID but came from a good friend who is not alive any more, so it's special.

Wish I could find it's name. The other one I thought was Flavescents but it may not be, so Arlyn is growing a test plant for me. I like this one too.

I did a search in the DB and found Lady Paramount. It has the older form you like and is a paler yellow. I don't know the person who has it but you could contact them as they sell it. Here's the link.

Tom:: Oh, the first NoID Yellow is really pretty! Very nice indeed. The last one looks like the "Parthenon" that I got as a bonus plant from Superstition, but "Parthenon" is white.
I seem to have a lot of pinks and purples and reds. The only Whites I have now are
"Parthenon" and "I. albicans". I also have "I. Florentina" but don't know if that qualifies
as a white - some say it is more "silver". Confused

I have two that might interest you. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble uploading photos this morning. So for the first one, go to the database and look for Amain. I have lots of this Iris and will happily share.

The second one is a NOID -- and I'll try to upload a photo of it.

This Iris may be Desert Song. I wouldn't be able to share this until next year.

I got 'Lady Paramount' from Superstition this year. From the looks of the rhizome, and all the increases on it, I should have some next year to share.

The pictures they have on Facebook are only a "Representative" listing of what they carry. You really need to get their catalog. Send them an email and ask to be put on their mailing list for next year.

Misawa77 said:in my garden it stayed in the 30" range. The AIS wiki lists it at 40 inches. Seems like an issue to me. You might as well test drive it for a few years and if you don't like it, then get rid of it.

Which one are you referring to ? "Ola Kala" or "Coronation" ?

You will be happy you did! Their catalog is 28 pages of wonderful selection (about 30-35 per page or about 900 for the catalog) of irises. You can't go wrong!!!

I did a search for some additional Yellow's. I found 2 that interest me also:
* Alice Harding - 1933 - Cayeux
* Pluie D'Or - 1928 - Cayeux

But the info I found on "Coronation" was very positive. It is listed as one of the best Yellow iris
around, and that it is quite a performer, being a profuse bloomer!

Hmmmmm.... I may end up with more than one Yellow iris in my garden Big Grin Thumbs up

no question about "Coronation"; it is VERY prolific. You will need to keep an eye on it so it does not take over the world!

I enjoy each and every purple you sent me last year! Since many came in a surprise box, I have a lot of purple in one garden. Need to mix them with the other colors.

I'll be interested to know, Patrick, if your Coronation has the little red dots (like mine) or not!!!!

I have Coronation, too, from Arlyn. If it blooms next spring, remind me to check for red dots. Smiling
