Patriotic Gem. A blue AB. It does have some yellow hints. It is a short one.

Hybridized in New England so many people can grow it.

Celia, there's also this one. I added it last year, but it doesn't look great. Still hanging on, but I think this wet summer has done it no favors.

I ordered it from Schreiner's. I like how it shows some classic Aril traits- form and dark blotch on the falls.

Neal, if Mohr Pretender perks up and does better please put my name on the share list. I grow AB's in containers to keep them dryer and LA's too in order to keep them more moist.

Sure thing Bonnie! I just ran out and took a look at it. This spring it looked good and I thought it was going to bloom. Later the main fan started dying off. The main rhizome stayed firm and healthy looking, and now it has a couple of small fans-increases coming along, so I think it might pull through.

Sound's about like mine, Neal....grew great last year....but no stalk, and *almost* died ,this spring . It's "hanging on", but that's about all.

We grow Patriot's Gem as well. Not to share this year because of other things going on. Remind me next year.
