What is the white stuff called again? I have never done mosaic, but would love to try.

Grout, I used Sanded grout I got at Lowes.

Get a pair of gloves, that stuff is rough on hands. Ask me how I know but I have a terrible time wearing gloves. It is not hard to do, just messy, I do my outside in shade...

Sheila be sure to get the grout with sand, that what I got. You can get all colors at Lowes. i got the smaller bag and that rascal was heavy too!!!

Char, was there a particular reason why you got the grout with sand?
I've never used that kind and was just wondering.

I read it somewhere. Does yours do as well without the sand Sharon??? I think have the bag over it to cure it I hope it does that?

Mine do fine without the sand. In fact I never knew there was a kind that contained sand.
I never did anything to cure it either, just let it air dry, so I don't know.

Cement I do protect to cure, also any kind of hand or wheel built pottery, but never thought to do it with grout. It sets up and dries pretty quickly as thin as it is on tile projects. So I don't know a thing about the sand.
