Hi, I am Mary from Southeastern Pa, but I also like answering to Stormy. I grow lots of lilies and want to grow more species lilies. I am mostly a shade gardener, and lilies are like gifts from heaven to me.

Janice, stunning combo! Barbara, try pinching the phlox some, it does help the flowers get bigger. You can also kind of thin out the flower stalks for bigger flowers.

Welcome to lilies Dee. No, I didn't know that, you stinker. You better post a picture of that row, missy! I am planting a row in my iris fields this year for a cutting garden for my granddaughter who is nuts over them.

Hi Stormy Mary, about time you got here, LOL. Welcome!

Welcome everyone. This is getting to be such a great cubit. A lot of knowledgeable people, and a lot who obviously love lilies. I'm so excited.

Bev from NC...hey Janice! I have been furiously planting lilies for the last few years...(Yeah irises, too Dee:)). Gotten many from various co-ops and from our friend Lisa. I also have some seedlings from Leftwood's crosses coming on. My favorite so far has been Lisa's 'Lavender Gem'.

stormy, lilies are like that for me too. so perfect. and the asiatics have such clear colors. i envy the scent that yall get with those orientals though. i was joking some of yall about doing a lily co-op without including orientals. that would be a mean thing to do, wouldn't it? hehehe

Welcome here, too, Bev. It sounds like it will be a wonderful spring for you. Please post pics when you get them.

Barb, I'm with you on the orientals. They are just marginally hardy here. They usually do well, but then come a nasty winter, and we have losses. But the fragrance can't be beat.

I'm honored to be amongst such an illustrious group of lily growers and much appreciative of stormyla for the invite. I grow around a 100 different lilies in central Illinois (surrounded by about a million acres of corn and soybean fields).

Well, let me just add, lilies go with anything and everything. They only make everything planted around them look better.

Yay! jmorth made it over. Good to see you. Is that 'Awesome' I see there?

Welcome, Ramona.

Yes, anyone can post their websites here. Tracey set up a forum for the members that sell lilies too. Definitely not like DG.

I am glad to be here with all the people who have been friends over the past few years. I don't intended to saddle you with advertising, but it is nice to say loudly and clearly, exactly who I am. Some day soon I will share you with you the amazing story of how Faraway Flowers began and where I hope it will go!
