With that neat white band it was the best bloom of four siblings, bloom wise. No other saving features though as they all have low bud count (max four) and horrible form. Another seedling is interesting because it maintains a very dark bronze colored colored foliage for much of the season, very unusual. It turns dark green about the time the blooms start opening. Weird.

I'm getting so I like looking at all of these seedlings more than the named varieties. It's neat to see what traits came from the parents. Sometimes they are unexpected.

The first one is a seedling that I have selected for scaling. It have many buds and the flowers are looking great too.
Thumb of 2012-07-29/grapus/d342f7

The next one selected for propagation is a 1c tango, the only one I have from the bag of seeds.
Thumb of 2012-07-29/grapus/5664d1

This is a lily that I don't remember but it is growing together with selected lilies from last year. It's a keeper.
Thumb of 2012-07-29/grapus/151d6b

This trumpet is from a cross with Prince Promise. I really like it's colour.
Thumb of 2012-07-29/grapus/d6a5de

This one are from seeds last year, maby my own cross. This year it has only one flower.
Thumb of 2012-07-29/grapus/d768ba

This one I'm not sure where it's coming from since I have not done any crosses with brush mark lilies.
Thumb of 2012-07-29/grapus/fb67f9

This is maby from the cross Grand Cru x Stellar Light.
Thumb of 2012-07-29/grapus/bab1f5

This is what you get crossing a tango (Mistika) with Lolypop. Not too many buds this year, maby next year)
Thumb of 2012-07-29/grapus/455fda

This one was a surprise for me, have not seen this earlier years, it's a seedling. I am quite sure that it's from the cross Mistika x Lolypop. I'm going to keep this one.I'm talking about the white 1c lily.

Nice show grapus--everything so nice green and lush appearing. Lilies must really like your climate. All of them are very interesting, especially that Trumpet X Purple Prince. It seems to have that special petal substance of Purple Prince. These are all beautifull!!

Thanks. Yes, I really like that one too. Made a cross with it and White Henryi last year, hoping for some interesting seedlings. This summer have been too wet, no need for any watering in my garden this summer.

Thanks. This time of the year is the time I'm looking foreward most of the year. I'm really enjoying it. And I'm also enjoying to see all of your great lily pictures.

This lily is not a seedling of mine but it's a great lily. It don't have a name only the cross. it's 4n L. regale x 4n White Henryi. It's fertile for 4n OT lilies.

Here are photo's of a seedling that I planted on 10-25-08. It has bloomed twice so far. I purchased the seeds from Rainbow (lilyseeds) and they labeled it as:
(T8-22BxT9-67B) #1 David Sims x Gold Eagle. Please, don't ask me what the numbers are. I plan on e-mailing Rainbow on the name.

No,Anthony, they are not from you. The seeds from you that I have sown is RASCAL x BLACK BIRD and 2 different trumpets. This year I have sown some tango crosses from you but they will not bloom before next year. I'm really happy that you liked it. Some of the seeds sown last year was not my own crosses. My experience are that I sometime get other lilies than expected. In 2009 I sow some trumpet crosses 4n and I was expecting some trumpets, bought seeds. But One of the seedlings that now are growing in a new bed seems to be a lily that looks like one of the hybrids made by Robert Griesbach. It's a great lily but a big surprise.
