I just love that Ocean Breeze. Love all actually, but that one is so nice. And it's much nicer than the pic on B and D.

I guess I'm going to have to give in and order from Canada.

And luckily it was just the type of thing I was looking for with Pink Latvia. Not sure if the flower is as large though.

I find I enjoy more older varieties than new. Some of these hybridizers are getting up there in age and I want to make sure I am able to still get their selections. I applaud those growers putting energy into cultivars of the past, and working to preserve the beautiful garden lily. Many selections are so deserving of preservation. Not all that is new is better.

Thanks Tracey. I wonder if the colors would show a bit more if it got more sun. I'm going to try moving a bulb if it spreads to see what happens. I do love the form of it...recurved petals and the rippling on them.

I would think the light coloration of the center of that lily would do better in part sun, rather than full sun, at least it would here where the heat and humidity can get outrageous. I'll have to see what happens this year with it, last year was cooler here and the center was very pronounced in the part sun locations where I have it. I thought it would wash out for sure and it didn't.

Good to know. There are few places in my gardens that I would consider to be full sun. Here in the hot south most of my 'full sun' perennials get some shade protection during the day. Where it is now I would probably consider more of a 'high shade' situation. It's growing next to this one that doesn't seem to mind the lighting at all.
