Lavender Gem was my first buggy lily and still my very favorite. Not sure about Honeymoon (?) it doesn't sound familiar. I really need to find the receipts from my first bulb order. Gotta be around here somewhere, lol!

Some people are listmakers, some aren't. I will honestly say that for a long time I cared about the beauty and not about the names so much. Now dabbling in hybridizing, names are more useful to me.

That, and I used to buy the same lily two or three times, falling in love all over again. I realized I may actually save money this way. But to each their own. Even then, I don't keep records of years bought, places bought, places planted. I use the EON tags and if something gets buried in the ground because of heavy snow, well, then, I'm out of luck.

That is true, Tracey. And I have discovered that even the "bigshots" like Mark McDonough (of Allium fame) don't always keep good records. Indeed, to each, their own. And sometimes, I'm the silly one...

I try to keep such good records on my irises. I have to, as I sell them. But then, there are my lilies, and my semps, and my lilacs. Now I've got quite a collection of mints going, and Hydrangea paniculatas, and hostas, and gosh, sometimes something just has to go. And often it's documentation, unless it's something I can do during the winter months.

Lefty, that 'Zues' Is mighty fine. I like that type of dotting/ slash pattern a lot. It kind of raises right out of the flower. It's lovely.

And even though I try to keep fairly good records out in the garden now, I still kind of stink at that whole thing. Live and learn...or at least try, right?
