I don't recall seeing a candelilla - Euphorbia antisyphilitica - blooming like the one in the database or like what you can find using a Google search. Either I really never saw one blooming or the ones that I did see were blooming inconspicuously. It's conceivable I saw one blooming and it just didn't catch my attention enough for it to stick in my mind Smiling . Maybe someone else will give a guess at the plant your aunt is growing.

It sure looks a lot like E. tirucalli, I wonder if the the wonky, twisty growth could possibly be due to the plant being root-bound?

Here's another pic of mine (same plant posted above but before it's structure got a lot of curves). The curves (as noted in post just above) may be due to root bounding as it's not been re-potted for 4 years; additionally, where it is now, in the basement, it's placement being at the edge of the fluorescent lights may contribute to curvatures as it seeks more light.

And hers does look like it may be root bound, and maybe not enough light?
