That's great Linda, but what about winter, do you think you will get a lot of snow?

We've had less than 3" of rain in the last three months.
They are predicting 1-3 inches tomorrow through Saturday!
After the rains are gone, the cold fronts coming. 38 degrees for a low next Thursday.. Blinking
Winter better not come that fast.

I heard from someone on another forum that they are saying there is a 50/50 chance of this El Nino bringing southern California a lot of rain. So far, El Nino has just been a word in Spanish.

Thank You! Natalie.

Alas the rain has stopped and the sun is peaking out. This one only brought .05, but it is still heavenly outside! Hurray!

Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Hurray! Linda!!!!!
Now I'm the one wishing for the wet stuff. The ground is dusty & grass is getting crackly. Rain came so very close today - it was barely, barely misting for a little while. Sighing! Not enough to do a single thing. It was only 20% chance. Tomorrow is 20% also & then 10% for 2 days & so forth. They have 60% on Thursday. I hope, I hope. We are not normally this dry in Oct. Our driest month is traditionally Nov. so we really need some before Nov. starts.

It was 58F this morning. They are calling for a high of 80F. Still not in the 70s but getting better. However, according to the forecast it won't last. Thumbs down

Taos was 34 this morning so a new late freeze record is in the offing.

ONE INCH OF RAIN YESTERDAY! That gives us 1.25 inches of rain the last two days which is one tenth of our total average annual rainfall.

I gambled and planted September 5th ready to run out with blankets to cover newly planted daylilies in case of a normal freeze but never had to do that, hooray!

I think in celebration we will have bacon for breakfast!
