Ok, I have taken a good nap after I got home earlier this evening. (or yesterday evening, I get confused) Anyway Becky, here's the scoop on Goodwill stores glassware and ceramics.

saucers and cups are .59 each
dinner plates are .99 each
the other two most prominent prices are these. 1.99 and 2.99. (for the glassware ,and ceramics.
Now, on the larger items they mark them as much as 6.99. I keep on going down the aisle. Usually the last aisle of glass and ceramics, is generally things that have been there for a while and they mark them .59 to 1.49. So guess what aisle I buy most of my things from.
I refuse to pay 2.99 for anything (unless I absolutely love it). So most of my purchases run .59,.99,1.49 and 1.99. Don't let the size of the item fool you however. Sometimes small and medium sized tea pots are marked 3.99 or 4.99 and a large one may be marked only 1.49. So you really have to look. Also, I found out their senior citizens discount starts at age 55 so I get that also. Got to bring in your drivers license.

Great haul Robin!

Debbie I love the glass blocks.

I'll post pics of my goodies later today.

Can't wait!!! Hurray! Wow, I'm always complaining about the GW prices but guess I should feel lucky? Dinner plates here sell 3 for $1.00. Thumbs up I had to laugh when my friend and I were at the check out the other day. We're wrestling with the plates, I had five and took one of hers to make it an even 6 for the best price. Sales clerk said not to worry about it because anything above three sells for $.25!! Blinking

Aw sucks, 3 for .99. I'm going to ask why. On second thought, they may tell me to drive to VA to get them. Rolling on the floor laughing

That big bowl looks just about like my antique nu-cut glass, so it's going on the bakers rake to display. It will have to go on the bottom it's so heavy.

We don't have a GW or a SA around here that has a store, We do have thrifts stores all over and a couple of Animals Shelter stores, which are my favorite to go to. We also have a huge consignment store that is loaded with everything. Think of a Super WM filled with everything you can imagine that people bring in to sell. There are also a couple of small stores that sells everything they get for under 1 or 2 dollars, most of it is around .25. They are for the needy, all proceeds go to the store to help people by giving them food, paying electric bills. I go in there and find a lot of stuff that is not worth a thing and buy it. It's for a good cause.
Save the planet, it's the only one with chocolate.

Oh , that's awesome Robin. I love when people help each other. I've not gone to the thrift stores yet or our Habitat store.

Nap, thank you so much for that link above. I didn't even think about that.

That's my story too, Sheila. I had to change my ways when we downsized to a flat 2 years ago. I'd have to rent storage space if I started again. It is addicting.

But I am excited to see all the great treasures everyone else is finding!

I agree The fused glass pieces on the jewelry are beautiful and I LOVE the blue glass! I've got one of those large Christmas ball ornaments (on the top of the tree) and I'm going to be looking for more this year. I've seen an idea where you fill them with concrete for "3-D" spheres for the garden! Thumbs up

Well, my word, dahtzu, look at all that great stuff! I'm like Sheila in that every time I look here at what people have gotten, I start thinking of ideas to use it for yard and garden art.

There is a great bottle tree pictured in either the current edition of Tennessee Gardener or Southern Living. Don't remember which at the moment.

And I must say that your garage looks spotless!! Big Grin Sticking tongue out I don't dare post a photo of mine at the moment. Blinking
