I don't save as many as I used to because I don't sow as much as I used to. No space left in my garden beds. I do have to get some Salvia Coral Nymph today, if yesterday's storm didn't already blow them away.

I have tons of annual salvias... white & coral nymph and huge red ones.. I guess since I usually grow them in smaller containers every year.. I had no idea how big they would get in a tub.. boy I need to plant some in the ground next year.. so impressed how nice they are

My TS go dormit (?) and die back each year but they return. All the ones I have started from seeds are the hardy kind that die back each winter. Mine are in large pots either standing in water or with out holes in the pots.

My salvias took a beating this year, Andre keep getting his Eggie over the little fence and rolling it through the flower beds, One large dog and one heavy egg shape toy equals flattened plants.

oh my dear I am much colder than you are.. it appeared to go dormant ... and just withered away at the end of winter.. I had one stick left and I kept watching and watching it.. for months during spring.. and then I realized the stick was rotting .. it was a super wet spring that year though .. and of course my soil takes forever to warm up

They do die pack all the way, and send up new shoots in the spring from under ground The old growth is totally dead it will not leaf out come spring and can be removed, I usually leave it until the new growth shows above ground so I will know where it is at.
They love it wet. My white one is sitting in one of the pools with water from the drip standing in it.
This picture is early in the season, right after I set up the pool
My Fire Ball Hibiscus did not send up shoots last summer until July, this year it was May.

I think I planted the seedlings too late that year.. roots didn't get a chance to take hold before the freezing weather kicked in

Possible. If my seedlings survive I will try to send you some of them, just remember to throw a rock at me to remind me. I have around 5 native Hibiscus coming along in pots.

not a lot of space just a lot of pots, all of the above are seedlings. Most will be given away at a Fall RU
