I can't import DL's from the US, but you can buy plants from over here, can't you?

Mayo

Yes we can import them. It's a little pricey between the currency exchange and the phyto but sometimes an addict's gotta do, what an addict's gotta do! Big Grin

Three I just planted today.

The first is for my collection of the late Australian breeder, Nunan.

The second is by the Australian breeder Waring, now retired, which are hard to obtain.

The third was so I spent enough to get a bonus plant, which they must have forgot or I got the amount wrong.

I thought with the order I received yesterday I'd be done, but there is one showing up on the Lily Auction - cheap - that's sitting on the wish list. When the sale price gets that low, I'm almost afraid not to get it. If it's a washout, not much lost, but it may also mean that it will be hard to find because there isn't any profit in handling it. But so far I haven't put in the bid. Here are what is here for 2016 so far, including bonus plants. So what's one more!!?

Looking great, Donald!! Thumbs up

Did you get clumps, DF's, SF's...?

Last Autumn I ordered a lot of SF's, but I'm not going to do that again.. Sad
It's what you all said before: DF's (and clumps ofcourse) are establishing and blooming much faster!

Almost none of my SF's have scapes Thumbs down

@Mayo62
Mayo, I got one SF as a bonus plant and one as a trade, but everything else was DF or more. The one yesterday arrived as a 6 fan plant and for the first time ever I split it into DF and 4F divisions because of the size containers I had to start them with. I have to say, though, that I've had really good luck with SFs. 'Navajo Narrative' arrived as a SF and it is blooming now and is also a DF at this point. I thought growing them in containers they wouldn't increase too fast, but I'm thinking some have already outgrown the containers and probably need thinning. I know on those where the potting mix had a lot of shrinkage, there is a difference in growth and scape height on those where I managed to replenish the mix and about half dozen that I didn't get done. It looks like that won't effect the number of scapes, but will effect the height. If they go another year, I think it would probably cut into blooms. I don't know what I'm going to do with the excess, though. You can come help me and take home all the extras Big Grin .

I love Glorious Autumn too. It acts as a dormant here (= all leaves die away). I lost one of the two clumps last year. But I have moved it into a new large bed this week hoping for a good display this season. Fingers crossed.
