I am adding Canter. It is a Rice Intro. My son is getting married in May and Jennifer's maiden name is Canter, plus she is a huge horse fan. I am also bidding on Annette's Jamie Dockery. They always send very nice plants!

Got my Floyd Cove order today! The plants look fantastic! Can't wait to get them in the pots and watch them grow and bloom. They were out of Snow Crystal so they sent me a great substitute, the Great White Dove. They also gave me great gift plants too, Applique Prism and Jolly Good Yellow. So happy with my order. What a wonderful generous seller!

Received daylilies from Tim Bell yesterday, extra fans and a gift plant that I ask for. Have received a lot of nice daylilies from Tim over the years.

Karen, I just noticed your post about your Floyd Cove order and I agree -- they do send the best plants and wonderful gift plants. Each year I really look forward to getting my Floyd Cove order to see what "surprise goodies" I get, and they never disappoint! And their fans are always huge, which I love.

Yes, their plants are superb! I am glad they gave me gift plants that are on my want list. Can't wait to see blooms from these daylilies. I think they have sold out Sharyn Lianne.

My Daylily buddy Val came over on Sunday and planted 12 Daylilies I purchased in June and July 2015 at the regional 15 summer meeting. She is a true BFF.

Cast A Spell, Legend of Eldorado, Double Dish, Double River Wye, Emma's Curls, Wildman George, Fiesta Lantana, Hello Screamer, White Ibis, Mambo Maid, Butterpat & Captain Picard.
She also moved ferns out of the sun. Double River Wye was already big enough to give her 4 fans.

Betty, how are your daylilies from Floyd Cove coming along? Are there any scapes yet? Can't wait to see blooms on your new purchases!

I added Waves Of Joy, Victorian Lace, Spacecoast butterfly Effect, I'm hoping to get some patterned daylilies too, as our nights are generally cool in the spring and summer which seems to bring out patterns. I'm just a small backyard grower and hybridizer.

I really love Floyd Cove's plants too. And, the gift plants are the first thing I look
for when the box arrives. You know that I have already looked at the photos
of what I order a million times, so the gift plants are a new surprise treasure.
I have Sharyn Lianne and Princess Peyton. Love, love the flower colors.

However, I've been cutting out the scapes that have appeared in the new arrivals.
Will wait for the next scapes after the plants are more established. I want to give
them every advantage to grow well. I usually allow the scapes to remain, but this
is the first year that I have received plants early enough to see the initial scapes.
In the past, when plants arrived later in the season, they were on their 2nd or 3rd
set of scapes, and had time to establish themselves in the garden before scaping.

Karen, my Floyd Cove plants look beautiful and I'm checking them every day for scapes emerging. I have them all potted up on my patio, so it's easy to check their plants from the fall and this spring. And so far I only have 3 scapes on MAJESTIC DESIGN on the newest plants, and I posted a photo on the scapes thread of that one. And I also have 3 scapes on SMILING COBRA and 2 on CUTTING LOOSE. But some of the fans on these huge new plants really look like scapes could emerge at any time now... YEA!!! Thumbs up

Shirlee, I don't know how you can stand to cut those scapes off -- I'm just dying to see the first blooms on those beauties! But you know what's best for your situation...

We bought a few from Floyd Cove but not just their intros.
We bought Tiger on the Mountain and Mystical Art for hybridizing patterns and also got Cool Bananas and Little Ripper from them.
Little Ripper has a bud stalk.

I too can't bring myself to cut off scapes. Like Betty, I am too excited to see the first bloom on them that I just cannot wait. I will be on the look out for your pics of Smiling Cobra, Majestic Design, and Cutting Loose. I hope the pattern on Sharyn Lianne will come through well for our blooms.

Let me tell you, cutting off those scapes was downright painful, but
thought it best to help the plants focus on root growth at this point.

The plants are in pots which I bring inside when temperatures fall,
but still I worry about them even though they look fine. I'll put them
in the ground around the first of May so they can have the advantage of
more nutrient uptake than is available in the potting soil.
We are having temps in the high 70s and low 80s for now, so
hopefully no more hard freezes.

I admit, I'm like an old mother hen looking after her chicks when it
comes to these plants. *Blush*

So true, so true. And that is why it is so painful to do so. Crying
