Store an extra pair of flip-flops, crocs or slip-on shoes by the back door just in case you need them.

In my case it ends up being the other way around: I take my shoes off by the back door before I come in, so that eventually there are about 5 pairs there Hilarious!

Hetty, thanks! I am always barefoot and I think I'll just grab the hose and water and then I need shoes after all to walk over the hot gravel!

I have shoes (flip flops) inside each door as well as outside each door. Never know which door you're going to go out or in. Like Hetty, inside I'm barefootin'.

Great idea but my dogs chew them up or dig a hole and hide them, maybe I need to work on dog behavior. Rolling on the floor laughing

I own a pair of flip flops! Really, I do!

Although I tend to shy away from shoes I've decided when we get monsoon rains and the chicken pen is feet-deep in mud it is to my advantage to wear flipflops when gathering the eggs. Why? It is so much easier to kick them off before entering my shoffice than it is to high-pressure wash the mud from between my toes!

(And nope, never wear them inside the shoffice or the house but will politely put them on when entering certain stores in the area.)

Remember to shake 'em out before slipping them on, though. You might find a scorpion or a venomous spider in them.

I have old tennis shoes ready for outside at the door and towels for wet dogs when it rains or they play in the sprinkler! Towels haven't been used because of rain in a very long time. Crying

Ya'll are messin' with me! :>)

Bubbles: "Remember to shake 'em out before slipping them on, though. You might find a scorpion or a venomous spider in them."

I've actually tried to put a pair boots on years ago and had mice runnin' up my leg cus of the nest in one of them. No fun.

Weeds: "Could we see a picture of you with shoes on, shoe? Ya know, like so we really KNOW."

I'll post a picture of words at some point. I must admit, it's kinda scary to read though, for people like me anyway. But trust me, I had to wear not just shoes once but bona fide boots.

I must prefer Boopaints flip flop topic for now...much less frightening! Smiling

Shoe (shuddering in his, uh, uh...bare feet?)

and I hate to go off-topic...

Sure you don't wanna talk about flip flops? They're scary enough! *grin

I only have one pair of dahliafeets and I wear them everywhere. I used to have flipflops but one would always disappear. Just like mittens. Methinks they are solitary creatures those flops and mittens are.

weeds methinks the dryer gremlins steal the socks. I always keep the ones in the hopes that the others will come back but they never do Sad We recently got a new dryer and they took the old one away, full of socks I'm sure.
