Only because most of the stripes are near the edges of the petals on those newest blooms, I'd give it the benefit of the doubt until its next round of bloom if you can, Lindsay. Can you keep it isolated for a few months?

I've had an ongoing battle with flower thrips, since they can get right through my cage screening, and when they get to the cattleya blooms just a little bit, it can look like that.

Went diving for the first time in a year today, my gosh I feel SO good and SO tired. Getting squished under 100ft. of water makes my arthritic joints feel better immediately. Here are a couple of "underwater orchids" we saw today:

I use those hang-a-pot hangers too, on my orchid pole indoors for my Phals and Paphs, and my mini-cyms outdoors..very effective space saver. Smiling
