I bought pinks very early on when they were mostly peach or a parchment color . I collected quite a few and then gave up on but one or two. Seeing the post on here two springs ago made me aware that there are a lot of really nice pinks out there. I have started adding a few and one has a nice bloom stalk on it. smiles.....

& I like pink SDBs. Many thanks to Barry Blyth for working on those. Seeing Tom's photo of Orange Tiger reminds me of the Median Muster convention where people went nuts about it. It was such a clear orange, rather than a messy color. the form on oranges has improved since then but it was a break through..
I wanted to show the pictures of the maiden bloom from the 12-41 plants the clump pictures were taken in 2014 ..can you guys pick out 12-41E my favorite out of the bunch it was fun to see these lined out this year and putting on a show. I remember seeing the clump of them blooming together thinking WOW how would you choose they all looked really good it will be interesting to see which ones are still around this year. The next one shown (12-42) was Outstanding as well it had the same pollen parent but different seedling for the pod parent. My Favorite was (A) what a beautiful blend of colors but thought all of them were really good and such a good wide range of colors to play with this was another excellent cross from Mr. Keppel.
I would go stir crazy looking at that big bunch of pinks and trying to keep them all straight in my head. Figuring out witch ones to keep and which to toss.

Call me crazy, but that purple with the screaming scarlet beard is the one that floats my boat. I'm hoping the pinks I got in the past couple of years will sway me.. Before then, I only had Beverly Sills, and she's just ok.. Not a heavy bloomer or great grower in my garden. I don't have my pictures on the iPad I brought with me, but I remember that Magical was pretty nice last year.

Yup -- I agree Sherry -- I had to enlarge that one and study it close-up.
Another one that caught my eye is the one directly below the dark violet that we three love -- that creamy tannish apricot is just gorgeous. It's not a color that would ordinarily catch my eye -- but the form is incredibly beautiful. And the dark orange beard is offset by the soft white center of the fall. And the rufflles...........oh my!
Thoughts become things -- choose the good ones. (www.tut.com)

Wow! These all of these need to be seen close up and in clumps. Irises know no bounds when it come to color, form and size. These pinks will glow in the garden long after the sun has set.
Mary Ann, I like that one too. It is between a peach and a parchment. Just enough peach to make it gorgeous...... and the ruffles, oh my indeed!

I thought I would share some of Kieth's yellow blends next these were favorites of mine in that color range hard to pick just 1 they were all different and I could find a spot for all of them but would probably go with the (13-60) kids I'm really looking forward to seeing them again now that they are lined out, one of the parents is a sib to this year's intro (Idle Rich) and it is on my want list I grow lot's of yellows and enjoy them in all color blends from the brightest to the ones with just a touch they really stand out in the garden and make all my dark colors really Pop especially when blended with Dark Purples or White's. I found a picture from the 12-52 cross this is the one shown above with the pink seedling the picture shows the majority of the cross in bloom as you can see it was mostly yellows and it would of been hard to pick lot's of good looking blends in that group.

06-35D steals the show! IMHO. I like 12-36A a lot too. I like yellow ones, they really show up nice in a clump and seem to set off the other colors too.

with tom! 06-36d is wonderful! I love yellows though. I have a whole bed of yellow white and purple Iris. I just might not of planned it out well enough. They all seem to bloom the same color at the same time. I'll be moving them around this year for sure. oh well you live and you learn.
