Have any of you ever participated in a craft box share-a-thon?

It's where one person fills up a box...maybe the smaller priority size, with things they no longer need. They ship it to the first person on the list, take what they want and add more to it and ship it on to the next in line? I may not be describing this well and I've never done it but I thought it might be fun for us to do this fall.

No, I never have but it sounds fun. I'd probably have to think six ways to Sunday to see if I had anything worth putting in it but with this group, you all can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. I'm amazed at how you take something sometimes so simple and turn it into a work of art. What a talented and artistic and wonderful group of people you all are.

Oh let's do this! Becky, if you get the list going, I will start the box on it's way!!! I'm going to the post office today so will pick up the priority box and start digging through my stuff and make up a treasure box. This will be so much fun!!!!!

Still no time to visit very long this morning - been doing a little research to find ways to use the bargains I picked up yesterday at Habitat for Humanity! Now I've got to check out the new "Acorns"?

I participated in a similar thing years ago. It was set up like a chain mail. The letter had a list of names on it. When you received the letter, you sent your item to the next person on the list and put your name down at the bottom. Each person in turn did the same thing. This went on for ages and my name came around a few times. This particular chain was for pretty kitchen dish towels. I still have a couple of the nice ones I was sent.

Count me in this. Usually it's called a 'Round Robin' Maybe we can call it a 'Tree Ring' or something.

Toad stool ring or something. I wanna sit under the tree in a mushroom ring....

Like a Seed Robin only with artsy craftsy supplies instead of seeds. I'm thinking about it.

Send me your names and addresses via tree mail and I'll start the list. And when it's complete, I'll send it to Sally. We can start additional ones every time we have ten people to play.

You've got my name. I'll start putting together the box of stuff. I'll put about a dozen items in there to get us going. I'll see if I can come up with things that just about everyone would like to have.

I'm hoping everyone photographs what they receive??? The reason I ask, is I would like to sit this one out and watch the photographs to make sure I have things people would want or at least know what to purchase to put in the box If so, I'll jump in for the second one

I think we should let the first box start with Sally and end at the last person and then stat a new list so no one keeps receiving from the same person each time. How fun!

Sally, if you send 12 things, maybe the receiver will only take 4 out, leave 8 and add more of her own. So it travels around, collecting things to be used in artful ways.

I just got a little basket out and will add to it until it's my turn to send.

I do have crafty things but not so much garden crafty That's why I want to see the first round before I jump in
