Well, that nailed it ... and some new terminology to boot. We good, we good.

I've been organized confusion my whole life, and afraid it won't get any better.

I've been wanting a flat screen for so long, but never can seem to save up the money, always something else comes first.

I thought this was the chat thread and then I realized it was buttercups home.

Have a new monitor (given to me by my computer Knight in Shining Armor) and a borrowed computer...it killed itself. But all my data is fine. My new computer, also courtesy of my KISA, will be ready in a week or so. I am so grateful.

How exciting to return home and find that I'm the winner of the "Build a Nest" contest! I'm so embarrassed though because my nest only took about ten minutes to throw together and y'all are so talented and crafty and worked long and hard on your beautiful creations. I really should not be the winner of this one but I promise to give little "Buttercup" a really good home ... she will be Top Birdie in my house!

I didn't go far on my vacation, only one county south to stay with friends who have a place on the water, but I had a wonderful week just chilling and relaxing! We did have the scare of Hurricane Irene coming along the coast but were really lucky when she passed us by. I'm so sorry for those along the coast from North Carolina to Vermont who were hit hard by the storm, and I will keep you all in my prayers for a quick restoration!


Ok ... I'm off to run errands and will take time to catch up on the threads this afternoon. Thanks again for this Forum that is so full of fun, friendship and thoughtfulness ... you all inspire me!

What creative nests you all made! I enjoyed looking at what each person used to build it--- they're all so different! Aren't Imaginations wonderful??! You all did great! And Congrats to Plantladylin for winning the contest!

Well, Lin, I had to decide what was going to be the criteria for choosing a winner. There was a lot to consider - materials, time invested, talent, beauty, popularity, my own personal feelings ........

In the end, my poor, confused brain reminded me of Becky's wise words. "Think like a bird."

I'm so glad we had this contest. I have looked at that little empty fountain for a few years now. I love it now that it has a nest. It brings a little bit of spring into my laundry room.

Aww, thank you both. It's not fancy, but I do love it. I don't like doing cloths, but I love being in my garden. So I decided to clean up my plain ole white laundry room and pull out a few bottles of paint and turn it into another garden room. Makes folding and hanging clothes a lot more enjoyable. And now it's a guest room for Buttercup, should she decide to visit.
