We missed the full moon on Christmas last night due to thunderstorms. We had to go to the Post Office this morning. It was 47 when we left but it is now 69. I suppose we will get a call from DIL in Phoenix that she is freezing if @quietyard 's temp is still like it was at noon. Hers should be about the same, or worse, since she's farther north. I'm really tired of this crazy weather. Our son in Escondido told us yesterday they were expecting frost last night.

Jean it is still just 45 here at 2:13. Supposed to go down to 28 tonight. I have been out wrapping up plants. I am really enjoying the cold wind, DH thinks I am nutts!

I doubt it works, but in PA, we had snow for Easter more than for Christmas.


They are calling for a high of 60F. It is kind of windy. If it ever rains again I'll let you know.

This morning is cloudy and drizzling. We had showers last night and more to come during the day. @Kelli, I never heard that saying but I do remember one year DH's folks gave us and his brother and wife a trip to Hawaii for Christmas. We went at Easter break and while we were basking in the sunshine in Hawaii, they were back in Illinois with 8 kids and 2 dogs and a couple of feet of snow!

They got 5 1/2 inches of snow in El Paso.

We got about 4 inches of snow last night and more expected later today, and it's cold at 19F degrees and I have to go shovel!

Anyone heard if Dave and family are safe after the tornado?

day temps are still too high at 55F and night temps of 45F

but, with severe flooding (again!) in large parts of northern England, tornado's in Texas and fires in California, I'm not complaining!

Oh dear, England is getting severe flooding too? This is some kind of weather year.

It was 29 F when I got up this morning then it dropped down to 27 F. Right now at 1:32 it is just 46.

Winter is supposed to bring us some ice either today or tomorrow. Will definitely be staying indoors.

Ice is not good.

We had almost 4 inches of rain yesterday which made this the wettest year on record in Oklahoma City. The temp was around 32 degrees all day with off and on sleet and snow with the rain. Just west of us they are having a major ice storm and have had blizzard conditions in western Oklahoma. We are on the eastern edge of the worst weather so better off than about half of the state. Hoping for no major ice that causes power outages but that is becoming a problem for many not too far from us. The wind at 40 mph with higher gusts will cause real problems when the power lines get ice on them.

They need to put all those power lines underground. They do that here in all the new housing communities being built. What a nightmare. I have power lines too, and that is ALWAYS a problem during a hurricane. We lose power when that happens .... sometimes for days or weeks.

Becky There are so many trees here and when we have high winds, it's almost a given that a tree or trees will fall on the lines, taking out our power.
