Brrrrr, gonna be cold tonight. My DD said it would be 40 something. Anything lower than 60 and I go for the extra blankets! I have 2 dogs that help to keep away the chill while I am sleeping but 40ish is too cold for me.

Good to hear that you're back safe and sound, Marilynne!

The trees here have really just started losing their leaves in earnest... we mostly have conifers on our property, so not that noticeable in our own yard. Woke up to a temp of about 33F, I think the high was about 51 -- but at least it was sunny for most of the day. Smiling

Sunny. South wind 5 to 15 mph becoming NW in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Pepper,
My shovel always stands upright so I can find him :o)

Greene,
I'm adding a blanket to the bed tonight. Especially since we have a chance of a cold rain later this week. Ivacuumed out registers yesterday so we can run the furnace anytime....

Jonna,
I'm still not convinced, lol! I get pretty warm at 90° + even with low humidity, lol!

Marilynne,
Smiling over your pouty Westies. I'll be they got over it soon enough.
Glad you're home!

One last nice day and I am not going to do much.

54 currently and sunshine. Heading to a friend's this morning to give her the tree I got her as a housewarming gift and to just bury it in the pot in the ground for now.

The extra blanket helped keep me warm last night but brrrrrrr, it was a cold morning outside this morning. Walked the dogs at 7 - we walked fast and ran back inside the house.
Started working in the garden at 9 and yikes, it was still cold out there. I wonder if I can garden while wearing a blanket? Rolling on the floor laughing

Bet it was cold! I'm still waiting on our cold weather. One thing I found useful last winter was an all in one insulated mechanics coverall that I stole from my husband. I've seen them in thrift shops too. I just slip it on over my pants and top and I'm toasty warm outside. I don't know if they would be heavy enough for you, but maybe in the fall and spring? It's not too fashionable, but who cares about fashion when we're out in the garden? nodding

Thank You! Thank you for the suggestion of the mechanic's overall...yes, it would keep me warm if certain parts of my anatomy where not so large. (Can you say. "Wow, that gardener sure has a huge butt!") *Blush*

Rolling on the floor laughing Yes, back to weather. Here in NM we had 51 overnight, and 87 today at our place. Nice weather to be outside. I've been working in the greenhouse, but it's almost time to relax on the deck with a cool drink.

Wow, seems like chilly temps all around. I haven't been chiming in too much, but I've been coming and keeping track of everyone. Nothing new or different to report here. 85F today with a low of 75F. That is pretty much our forecast for the next week and a half at least. Gotta love Fall! Constant, perfect temps for weeks on end! Hope everyone is having a great Sunday! I am going back to laundry/being lazy before another Monday starts Thumbs down

Late afternoon temperatures were glorious. I moved a ton of potted plants to the new area and, yet again, carried more tree branches to the curb. If I didn't have to stop to eat supper I would have worked until darkness fell.

Back on the warm trend. It's affecting the changing of colors and pushing it back so they are running late.

63 currently with a high in the mid 70s and sunny. Pretty much the same for rest of week with a chance of rain mid week.

Sally, it was Japanese Maple 'Waterfall'. She has a perfect spot for it but there's a mulberry tree there so it has to come down first before the JM can be planted. We just buried it in it's pot in the back yard for the winter.
