Thank you all. It has nothing to do with me. The plants do all the work. I wish I had the number of blooming ones like many of you, but I just can't keep many around that long. That's the problem with mixing business with pleasure.

I will keep this one. It is supposed to be pretty rare now. I still do have my collection, and it has slowly grown over the last10 years, but I must admit, I will divide a large plant. I haven't had the Coronation long enough to know how fast she grows. So far, in a year, she hasn't even grown a single new leaf. I have been told that they can really get huge, but for all I know, that takes decades.

Back to the orchid Lindsey saw at work, I agree with Ursula that Dendrobium primulinum is close. The shape is right on and the color can vary. I have seen them with a deep yellow throat and with no yellow at all. The usually bloom on last year's canes that are leafless. Does this fit the bill, Lindsey? Also, nice color pattern on your 'Pacific Rainbow' and you're going to love that Yellow Bird.
Ken, your Coronation is a beauty. I'd hang on to that one with both hands.
Ursula, what's not to like about C. loddegesii? Such a beautiful species it is and the rainbow is nice too!

Nope, this is what this plant always looks like, Elaine. If I give her more sun, she gets really red (angry?) and gets freckles. I have never seen any orchid like her. Here is the latest pictures of her flowers. The second bud is well on its way to opening. The first flower has now fully opened her lip and she is getting a bit darker and now is getting fragrant.

Pretty blooms, Ken! Coronation is gorgeous and I love the little Oerstedella.
The Pacific Rainbow is stunning Lindsey! Does that mystery bloom have a scent?
I LOVE the C. loddegesii Ursula! I have something labeled loddegesii but it's tiny and the leaves are also tiny...not sure it's the same thing. Nexzt time I'm out with camera I'll take a shot of it.
Hoping for a few more days of "no frost" around here so the buds of my Catts on the oak tree will have a chance to open up and not get any frost bite. I think they can handle the high 40's, I didn't see any visible damage this morning and the blooms that are now open seem to last a lot longer.
I meant to take a picture of the mystery plant at work today..but got distracted with a rather large plant in the early stages of mealy bug infestation.. They mystery plant is a hanging plant about 3-4' long. with medium green pointy oblong leaves. The 'expert' said that it drops all of its leaves..then blooms on the bare stems, around Easter.
I could not smell anything ( other than the cigarette smoke from 8 people).
