Thanks Jim. I have to admit, I bought it in bud just a week and a half ago! The one I have is sleeping too and I bought it very small from Fred Clark a couple of years ago when he came to our Society meeting....it has yet to bloom for me.

How is YOUR Jimminey Cricket doing? I know you bought the same one I did in Apopka...does it show any signs of blooming yet? I can't get over how BIG that bloom is!

Been waiting for my Onc Dancing Lady to bloom..has been pouting for 4 years since I made a division and repotted it.
It is happily back now, I will take what it can give! Happy it still managed to bloom, catching up while being mostly dry last Dec while I was away. Smiling

They finally let me work in the orchid house today...so many plants in distress and crying out for help..
There ought to be a law against orchid abuse by major corporations with 'Gardens' in their name! Grumbling

It's a huge house and about 25% of the plants looked like this

Thumb of 2016-01-14/sugarcane/d9cae8
I pulled out 20 totally deceased victims and about 35% if the rest have serious black rot problems.
All of the living plants desperately need repotting.. At least 50!plants had no pots at all.. They had been placed in one of those plastic pot trays.
I'm ready for a stiff drink!
