Debra, hope your incentive works with Shorty.

You certainly got a lot done in your yard it looks so nice and neat. Too bad caryopteris doesn't get tall enough to fill your space it sure would be pretty.
If you want to be happy for a lifetime plant a garden!

Not enough coffee in the universe to get me to walk, let alone be Tased, on I30. But, yes, you know that it is hard for me to stay out of trouble. Hilarious! Hilarious! Hilarious!

Actually electricity is my biggest fear. At the self important and all knowing age of 12 I used to turn the electric fence off surrounding my horse's pasture. Unbeknownst to me my dad had turned it back on. I grabbed a hold of it to step through and it grabbed back.
I have been known to utter expletives at work in the winter when static electricity zaps me. Yes yes, hard to believe I know, but tis twue tis twue.
I wouldn't survive being tased. 😵😵

Been working on the driveway side yard the last couple of days loosening soil. Sifted out another bucket and a half of rock and some heavy clay clumps, then mixed in some lighter stuff. Have something coming up in a couple of weeks and want to get as many potted Iris in ground as I can before then. Some are from having to dig out the area for the rehab workers, some are from new orders, some are gifts, and some are extra rhizomes from digging established clumps to share/ship. Got 12 planted yesterday and today. When first setting up these beds, made the mistake of digging and loosening ALL the soil first, then planting. Which, of course, means I had to step on the newly loosened soil to get the plants in ground which, in turn, compacted the soil again. *Blush* Shrug!
This go-round, I am planting one row at a time as I go. Supposed to have rain overnight. Hurray!

Planted elsewhere:
Chestnuts Roasting. Thought several times that this one was lost for good and it keeps struggling back. Hoping I have it a more congenial spot, now.

Jump Start. I seem to have acquired several of the shorter Iris in this color way. After they all bloom, will see which ones I keep.

Safe travels Ginny!

Deb, I stumbled on something by accident last fall when I was planting bulbs. I had a boogie board that the cover had fallen off. I had made a brand new bed with lots of fluffy soil. I was pondering laying a piece of lumber down to keep from mashing the soil, but I saw the Styrofoam and tried that. It worked wonderfully. I had to start in the middle and work my way out to keep from mashing newly planted perennials, but it was worth it.

Love the irises, hope you get you rain to water them in! Thumbs up
