Yowzah, Kabby!
I'd say you have cause.
Mary Ann, that microbadge is the Alabama state flag.
Hope you have a great trip, Ginny.

Been working on the driveway side yard the last couple of days loosening soil. Sifted out another bucket and a half of rock and some heavy clay clumps, then mixed in some lighter stuff. Have something coming up in a couple of weeks and want to get as many potted Iris in ground as I can before then. Some are from having to dig out the area for the rehab workers, some are from new orders, some are gifts, and some are extra rhizomes from digging established clumps to share/ship. Got 12 planted yesterday and today. When first setting up these beds, made the mistake of digging and loosening ALL the soil first, then planting. Which, of course, means I had to step on the newly loosened soil to get the plants in ground which, in turn, compacted the soil again.
This go-round, I am planting one row at a time as I go. Supposed to have rain overnight.
Planted elsewhere:
Chestnuts Roasting. Thought several times that this one was lost for good and it keeps struggling back. Hoping I have it a more congenial spot, now.
Jump Start. I seem to have acquired several of the shorter Iris in this color way. After they all bloom, will see which ones I keep.
