Correct Tim. That old wooden bed was there when you were here last fall. Part of it was already taken out and the first two beds in the photo were put in last spring.
Thank you Tim and Julia, it is really amazing what I can get done in 6 hours when I put my mind to it.
Or two young men's minds to it.
Each bed is leveled, 1/4" hardware cloth in the bottom, with cardboard over the top of it, then half filled with the old compost from the old bed, topped off with the sandy loam.
Now for the grass to grow back in between the beds. I have a bunch of new plants ordered from Wild Ginger Farm, plants that can be inter-planted with the semps.
