Pictures are loading sideways because you turned your camera sideways to take the picture.

That's not necessarily true. I very very seldom turn my camera sideways to take pictures and I have had them load sideways on here too.

That is a known problem for many phone cameras, not normally a problem for regular cameras. The solution I think is to use a photo program to rotate the photos and save them in the correct position.

I did not turn my phone when I photographed these .I never do ! although they loaded in my phone's storage sideways . I downloaded them to my computer and then put them into Irfanview to rotate the position of the photo and saved to my computer .....they were right side up when I uploaded to ATP ......but still came out sideways .

I have no idea why it would do that, being you did rotate and save them in a photo editing program before uploading them. I was not saying you turned your phone sideways, just that loading photos from a phone camera often results in them loading sideways. I have seen it many times here and on other sites also.
I am sure many have run into that problem, surely we will get more suggested solutions to the cause and cure of the problem.

Hi Larry I did not mean to say you said I turned my phone sideways....actually it was spiderjoe that indicated that I might have done that but but no I didn't and I have been back to the images on my computer and they are still up right in my pictures folder but when I try to reinstall here they come out sideways. Hmmmmmmm have no idea why or what I need to do to change it . Interestingly enough the last photo was taken at the same time as the others it loaded into my computer correctly and posted here correct way up . Go figure !!!! Gotta love computers

I didn't use a phone camera when mine loaded sideways. Used an ordinary digital Canon.

My gardens are still snow covered here in Eastern Ontario, other than a 12" strip along the south side of the house. The weather is cool today with a high of only 0 celsius expected, so not much melting. The forecast is showing cool weather for the upcoming week.

I would be interested in trading plants. I can't wait to get out into the garden in a few weeks.

I am now finally able to start cleaning up my beds, and have been updating my daylily list on ATP. I now have 120 cultivars in my garden. I am surprised I have so many Hilarious! I never counted them before Whistling

Hi Valerie ,

Isnt it nice to finally be able to get out in the gardens ? I am loving it Hurray! although I will admit after months of not gardening I am feeling it at the end of the day . It's only day 3 since the weather has been conducive to working the gardens so that is to be expected I guess .

So you have discovered you have more daylilies than you thought .....I think that happens to all of us daylily addicts at some point Rolling on the floor laughing I have been lax in jotting down my new additions last year and the year before so I am out walking the gardens and checking plants and I bend down and...... surprise hmm .......I dont need to order that one I already have it . Ha Ha .....I dont recall having added that one ......or this one and so it goes . It's kinda like Christmas in April .....

It has been so cool here, that a lot of mine are not showing much above the ground yet. Some on the south side of the house are up, but a lot are only starting to peek above the ground!

Well, the first swap from here is completed and I would just like to thank Raven for the wonderful plants she sent . She has since received the plants I sent her and I hope she is just as happy as I am . Thanks once again Raven for a wonderful swap . I will enjoy these new plants in my gardens!

I should note here that it was Raven's idea to use FedEx for delivery and I must say it seriously was the right way to go . Delivered right to the door in 3 days no muss no fuss . Plants arrived looking like the were dug that morning .

Although I was apprehensive about being able to measure up with sending plants from my garden, this swap went amazingly smoothly. I have lovely plants from Signet that I otherwise would not have this year. All were trimmed and washed perfectly and they were easy to spread out in the planting hole. The shipping was done by Fed Ex which was cheaper and faster than Canada Post. It took 3 days to my door. Thanks again to Signet for suggesting this swap. I would be up to doing this another time now. I can't wait to see the new blooms, hopefully some this year.
