I try for more after I take a break...Please understand, most of these are as yet unconfirmed as they haven't been put in database yet (once in there, they're usually able to be confirmed).

Really wonderful to see so many varieties, jm. How do they manage to keep the flowers fresh if they're travelling from so far (England/N Ireland)?

I really don't know; I heard other people wondering the same thing. It only takes a day to get here w/ a direct flight into St Louis.
I had a chance to ask one of the ADS roamers some questions but was so focused on taking pictures I only told him 'no problems, great show'.

These are fantastic Jack! Going to go back and scrutinize them further...

I've had spring cut flowers, like daffs, tulips, hyacinths, and all sorts of other flowers shipped from Holland for weddings. They're packed while in partial bud and most are in excellent condition. I'm guessing some similar method must be used. I'd love to see a documentary about it!

Did you have any favorites? I notice that Dinnerplate is available at B&B's. I wonder if some of the English cultivars are not well suited to harsher climates in the U.S. Was there a Queen of the Show?

I'd say Cliffhanger and Deb's Jewel were my favorites, Mesa Verde also looks interesting. I don't remember seeing a Queen of the Show. I've not addressed many of the multi-plant pics so it might show up, though I've only come across about 3 unregistered cultivars in those pics reviewed so far. I imagine English cultivars stand about the same chance as Dutch ones over here.

If I had THIS to look forward to, I just might resume a more typical morning time. . . . come to think of it: NAW!! But keep the pics coming, please do. . .I may not be able to grow alot of these gorgeous daffys, but I can at least look, dream and admire!

I'll bet that room wasD with their intoxicating aroma!! Did theh have a special section for the "smelly" ones??

@BetNC
You know I can't remember walking by any scents in particular; I saw tazetta daffodils but no paperwhites (ones that have a reputation of heavy, heavy smell that some like, some adamantly don't). The setting was cool and a breeze kind of permeated the display room. Most of the entries were quite close to each other, I couldn't easily bend over to whaff any particular specimen.

@jmorth where was the daffy show?? Is it [the city} always where the show is or does the show site change annually, like the Olm[ics? (name for show: The Olympics for Daffodils... nodding hehehe) Is the show maybe regional, so maybe I could go see one too?? Crossing Fingers!

The one we went to was in St Louis and was part of a 5 day World Daffodil Convention; said convention does move around.
The ADS Am. Daffodil Society has a listing of regional and local shows here:

I've been making a list of where the daffodils shown came from (it's listed on each tag of each daffodil).
So far I've noted entries from Ohio, New Hampshire, Pa., Oregon, Indiana, Tennessee, Michigan, Ky., Wisconsin, Maryland, Washington DC, Washington state, Great Britain, New Zealand, and Missouri and Illinois.
(As I find more I'll just add to this list.)
Texas, W Va., Georgia, Arkansas, Va., Conn., Mississippi, Mass.

The Amaryllis in my shade beds are looking good now. They don't have nearly as many blooms as the ones in the sun, and the scapes seem to want to fall over more.
