I grew the begonias from seed, so slow. I'm sure to have a bloom soon!!!

I think my front yard is the way its going to be this year, since it will all be in full shade after the equinox. I still don't think I like the color of those big clay pots, but can't decide on a sub, so there you go.... gotta click for the whole pic. Is that a rhyme?

Carol, I really like the one with the grass on the far right. Well, actually, I really like the three of them that are together, to the far right. Nice combo!

Thanks Connie - I wish the purple fountain grass on the left of the big urn would get its act in gear - I've got plumes, but they're so short you have to look for them. Weird. The one on the far right is cordyline Festival Burgundy, with dusty miller 'Colchester White', which is now starting to bloom - gotta get some closeups there. I can't figure out why everything on the left is going so slowly.

I am growing my Dill in pots this year. Also my other herbs. So Cilantro, Dill and Basil all in pots.

My tomato and pepper plants are in pots too. I have a problem keeping them watered in this intense heat.

Have to water everyday when you grow things in pots.

Here are pots I purchased during Paris vacation a few years back and just got around to planting up the black shallow one (the far one on the right) recently. It is approx. 3" X 8" and barely 2" tall.



The planting consists of Sedum dashphyllum, Sempervivum 'Red Cobweb' and Sempervivum globiferum subsp. hirtum. I used dental tools to help situate the plants into the narrow container opening and spray bottle to water the plants.

Bev that container really speaks to me. It is beautiful. I really love the way you planted it with different shapes and textures in green. Stunning.

I forgot about the side front yard. Got one there worth looking at:



Now that I'm thinking about fall/winter I'm wondering how I'm going to move that mixed container to make room for mums.
