Yes I believe that's the same zone. I LOVE your container...it has definitely grown SC Buttercup! Is that moss you're using instead of mulch? I like it.

Thanks for asking @PlantNut, we got lucky and it went out to see enough that we just got a little wind and rain. I had my girl repot four big hibiscus yesterday. Now they are ready to go inside for the winter but are still in a rather sheltered spot outside for now. They are off the South Deck because they are not protected out there if it gets too cold at night. I hated to transplant them so soon because they are still blooming but I had the help to do it and so we bit the bullet and did it. They look great today. They were so pot bound poor things. My little air plants are looking good and I am hoping I can keep them alive. Other than that, it will be another two weeks before we move the bougainvillea and mandevillea into the greenhouse. They need to be cut back in the winter and rest.
Well just now getting back from vacation. I bought an air plant for my bathroom while we were at the beach. Figured it would be the easiest to carry back with us. Hopefully it will do well in there. I didn't realize that some air plants bloom. ...
Wonder if I got the kind that blooms. ..of course it probably would need more light for that. But loving the background as I do this was the perfect plant to go with my sea shells.
This is another container we inherited when we moved here a couple of months ago. I don't know if I should bring it in to overwinter or if it will be OK where it is.
Sedum on left side could be outside but the tender succulent (hardy to 50 F)in back and the earth star (can be houseplant or in temperate conditions outdoors) in front might have to have winter protection.
Thanks so much for responding so quickly..... So I may just bring this in to the sunroom later on before temps drop. And water once a week and see what happens.

I change them all around every time I soak them. I never remember which goes where, so I just make up something I like. I love those little turtles I found to put on the driftwood. I am a turtle nut.
The barnacles are really fun since they have the wholes in that the tiny ones fit in. I found them on eBay I think.
I don't know if these count as plant containers yet since they have no plants. I just finished them a little bit ago (haven't distressed them yet). They are a variation on French pots. I have several succulents coming this week that will fill a couple of them; the rest will wait for something that begs to live in them.
Each pot has two images - one on each side, so there are actually only 4 pots, not 8.
The Bluebirds are out of focus, (as is the photo I see); I was experimenting to see if it might make the pot look even more worn; the blue is so bright I was concerned it might not look old when it's done. We'll see how it does after distressing it.
They're looking great, Bob! I love the old distressed look with florals.
They would love to see these in the Garden Art forum too. http://garden.org/forums/view/...
