No, Ann that was from right after it happened, but I just got those pics. Was amazed how fast they fixed the road there and the little bridge that just goes over a tiny creek closer to us is still not opened

I was not appy with last year's summer drought, but we are certainly too much in the other direction, even without the large storms, no matter what their classification.

Hi Allison and everyone, the tree guys just left. They were there to take down six old locust trees that one went down and five were damaged by Irene. They finished in the rain so they could move on since more storms are headed in our direction. They are still trying to catch up from the damage Irene did here.I paid the bill and then watched the latest weather. I think I will run and hide if another one hits. We still have a few more trees to go, but insurance did not cover the other ones. What can I say? Nothing compared to people who lost everything. Someone watched over us for sure.

We were so lucky there was no flooding in this immediate area. I am near Joint Force Bases McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst and some people on base just got their electric back. We had ours after 19 hours. I hate not having a potty or a shower all that time. Buckets are remaining filled until the season is over this time I swear.......plus we do have generators working now.

The greenhouse is full and ready to be wrapped again if necessary. Never put any plants back outside since the last one so I can be ready in a matter of hours if another one decides to pass by. Take care all of you and thanks for sharing the pictures. They are wonderful. Group hug

Allison, your area is under a flood watch again isn't it? My daughter works in Trenton and she was talking to me when she got to work this morning and she made the comment that at least the river is not over its banks today............pretty bad when you never know what to except from those waters. Scary for all those who live in the area.

The rains are also going steadily north. I feel for the people in western MA & VT. some people are still cut off after 'Irene'. Hope that it clears NJ immediately.

Wow, what storms we had last night and this morning and rain like crazy. When will it stop?

My son lives in Lititz, PA . I spoke to my DIL and son this morning and schools are closed and they can not get down off the hill they live on without going miles around to cross a small stream that runs through a meadow below their house. My son is a criminal trial attorney and has very little patience with things that interfere with his getting to the office, but I think he was concerned today because he said this was worse than Agnes was. Two people have died, there are mud slides along a small creek that took part of a hill down, must be nasty up there.
It seems to be going from SW to NE. The had 9 inches of rain in the past two days.

Hope you are all staying as dry as possible and pray for those poor souls who are going to have to clean up again. MORE STORMS ON THE WAY. I think I will go into town while I can.
Lovey dubby

I have friends that live in Lititz.

Those storms were CRAZY. One thunder boom at 5am made me jump right off the couch(yes I fell asleep on the family room couch last night)
we received 3.17" in just a couple of hours...taking the kids to school noticed a lot of lakes in peoples yards and couple roads partially flooded and the creeks are almost to the top of the bridges, there is a rain lull right now so that is helping...hopefully give the waters time to receed a bit before storms come thru again later like expected

The storms were so loud for hours during the night and early this morning that I got wide awake and went out and got a cup of tea. I was so angry. Then of course when daylight came and I was really tired and wanted to go back to sleep, I had to get up. Grumbling Grumbling Grumbling

I don't think that thunder came with the rain here. Not like PA where wilkes-barre was terribly flooded.
