The red one looks exactly like my Epiphyllum x Ackermanii cross...right down to the thorns.

Yours appears to have more petals that the one in your link, but I could be wrong.

It's close. I count 19 on the nursery shot and 20 on my shot. I never thought to count the petals. Does a variety always have the same number of petals or can it vary?

Mike, I want to thank you for saying you put cut blooms in water for dining table. I gave one to my daughter for Mothers Day and as of now she says it is still holding its shape.

That's nice to know LarryC. That posting feels like it must have been back in the Daves Garden days.

Tell you daughter to be careful removing it from the water. The stem usually leave a gooey trail. So hold it over the sink. Smiling
