All of my pots are taking more weight than they were designed for. These babies get heavy! If it's not too windy tomorrow, I'll try to get a pic. of the plant. It's not a big bloomer, but is a different type of Epi.
Beautiful blooms!
I am weeks away from seeing any blooms here, except for an aberrant x Ackermannii, because I kept this plant in the house over the Winter.
Mike, Those are gorgeous! I do love strictums. I am happy to see that pic of grand prize too. The cuttings you sent me may bloom this year. Ackermanii has a bud opening now and 1 more coming, then I am back to waiting for flowers. I fed them this morning. Maybe that will help things along.

You are no doubt right and that is so sad since they are such beauties and people do not appreciate them the way they should. These plants are so special and so easy to grow they do not get half the credit they should.
This one I named Levinicus, derived from the name of the person that gave it to me. Definitely not an official name
The camera has turned it more pink than Salmon
Two new ones today - this has been a nice run of new blooms for the season. I think for the next couple of weeks there will be repeats of those already posted. The blooms just seem larger this year especially "Grand Prize". I just passed last years Jan to end of April bloom count and still have 8 days to go. Numbers are up but I also have a bunch of plants that have just reached blooming ago so should be a good year.
This one is a surprise. My largest Epi plant is Grand Prize. Giving me blooms for a couple of years in its current large pot. This bud kept getting bigger and turned a creamy color which said "whats going on here". Turns out there is a long lost white plant in the same pot. Looks like I will get a number of large white blooms. Hoping that Grand Prize and this White one will bloom side by side in the next couple of weeks. I lifted the branch so the bloom did not open on the ground
So it is a NOID
